Our friend Justina Blakeney is not only an amazing mother, blogger, and designer, but she has an incredible eye for art. Using only florals and foliage, Justina has crafted beautiful and abstract faces; giving new life and potential to the blossoms we see in our front yards and walkways each day. Her intricately designed faces are stunning, and she has challenged others to create their own works of art using flowers and leaves with hashtag #facethefoliage found on her blog and Instagram where she features her favorite creations. We love this sustainable and (mostly) mess-free way to create unique works of art!

What do you think of Justina's floral faces? Will you be participating in the #FaceTheFoliage challenge? We would love to see your creations!

One of the things we love most about spring and summer is the abundance of foliage. Decorating our homes with fresh blossoms from a farmers market or our favorite local flower shop brightens up our space, and is also a fun way to add color and discover what type of bloom you like best! Not only are your bouquets fun to display, but we've crafted a simple and fun DIY for transforming a plain terracotta pot into a colorful way to show off your flowers and enhance your indoor space or patio!

    Materials:
    Pot
    Acrylic paint
    Gold spray paint
    Paintbrush
    Blue painter's tape

    Directions:
    1. Paint the entire surface of the pot in the color of your choosing. Allow time to dry.

    2. Once the paint has dried, use painter's tape to cover up the areas that you do not wish to paint with gold spray paint.

    3. Spray paint the exposed areas and allow time to dry.

    4. Carefully peel off all of the painter's tape and then you're all done!

We love this DIY for a collection of outdoor blossoms, or even an indoor plant that resides by a windowsill. This colorful project is certainly one of our favorites!

The revered Cannes Film Festival brings industry professionals from across the globe to view new films of all genres. Needless to say, this prestigious festival is definitely on our travel wishlist! Our dream Cannes vacation would include spending a weekend jet setting to France and watching brilliant and thought-provoking films by the best in the business. Between films we would dine on french cuisine (macarons, anyone?) while being lost in a sea of the most revered actors in polished suits and actresses in intricate dresses. We also wouldn't mind getting gussied up in a floor-length gown, either! Here are some of the looks we loved from the ladies of the Cannes Film Festival.

Colorful gowns were common at this year's film festival. Some of our favorites include German actress Emilia Schüle in elegant radiant orchid, Jessica Chastain in an one shouldered bold cobalt blue dress, and Blake Lively in a oxblood frock with a daring slit! Pictured above, Frieda Pinto is simply stunning in a decadent coral gown with gold trim. Not only are the colorful hues of these gowns ravishing, but we love the classic necklines and immaculate styling of each of these starlets.

Along with an array of colorful dresses, neutral gowns were also a Cannes favorite. While all of these gowns feature a subtle hue, each one possesses details that make it stand out. Frieda Pinto stuns in both coral and the soft shade of her gown featuring a unique necklace and feathery trim on her flowing skirt while Aishwarya Rai opted for a more structured dress with metallic and geometric details. Amber Heard embraces neural colorblocking with her white blouse and sparkling skirt. Further below Zoe Saldana evokes timeless femininity in a detailed white dress and golden belt.

Embellished dresses made a statement at this year's Cannes. From Cate Blanchett's intricate sparkling charcoal-gray gown to Nicole Kidman's glimmering gown featuring silvery baroque details and Marion Cotillard's colorful short beaded dress, the embellished dresses worn at the film festival looked equally stunning up close as they did from afar.

You've carefully opened the invite you received in the mail to reveal dainty paper covered in swirling calligraphy announcing the joining of two of your nearest and dearest. Weddings are an amazing event- it is the chance to attend or throw a celebration completely unique to the engaged couple. All the details from the stationary of the invitation to the venue and food is chosen based on the couple's interests and taste, so shouldn't the gift you choose for their celebration reflect that as well? We've listed some of our favorite gifts for love birds with unique interests: the cooking couple, the art lovers, and the duo that loves to entertain!

For the couple that loves to cook, a book filled with recipes tailored to newlyweds is the perfect way to spark some culinary inspiration right after their nuptials. We also love the idea of storing the recipes the couple has perfected together and will eventually be passed down in a vintage-inspired recipe tin. Even something as simple as a tea towel makes a perfect addition to their kitchen adventures and will be a lovely reminder of the nights spent crafting a new dish each time they enter the kitchen.

For the art lovers, we love the idea of gifting a book filled with inspiring images for them to bond over. Perfect for photographers, This Modern Romance is filled with enchanting engagement photos that can inspire any couple to capture the moments that matter. Books featuring travel photography or vintage images are also perfect for initiating deep conversations during mornings with coffee in hand. A book with an artistic purpose can evoke creativity and the imaginations of couples with an appreciation for many mediums of artwork.

For the duo that loves to entertain, we love the idea of gifting fun accessories for summer barbecues or cold weather wine and cheese parties. Colorful coasters or an adorable scalloped chalkboard banner complement an array of decorating styles, and are essentials for any soiree. A cheese plate and knife set (especially when it's heart shaped!) would be a staple in any couple that loves to entertain's home. From evening cocktail parties to a weekend brunch, we love these ideas for the couple that loves to host parties!

Choosing a wedding gift can be difficult- you want to present them with a gift that not only will appeal to the couple's hobbies, but will allow them to grow and expand their interests together! By reflecting on their interests, you can easily find a wedding gift they will genuinely love and becomes an integral part of their home. For more inspiration, visit our collection of gifts!

We are touched by many people in our lives. Some of these people are those closest to us, who encourage us and love us each and every day, but some inspire us through their words and the incredible work they do. The brilliant Maya Angelou was one of the individuals that provided encouragement through the words found in her countless essays, poems and in the way she challenged readers to reflect on their own lives. She was not afraid to critique the world around her, and also unafraid to celebrate and appreciate its beauty, which is why her incredible mind and spirit will never be forgotten.

Maya Angelou's courage to share her experiences through works like I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and her lyrical prose remain staples in libraries and home bookshelves everywhere. Her legacy reflects her bravery and continuous momentum for good, and we feel so fortunate to have been touched by Dr. Maya Angelou.

It seems that travel is unanimously understood as the one thing that costs money that can actually make you richer. Hopping a plane across the world or even a weekend escape not only hits the reset button on your daily routine, but can enrich you with new experiences. Seeing a commonly photographed landmark or even trying a new food for the first time is part of what makes adventure so wonderful- it's full of new ways to understand the world around us! We are celebrating the spirit of travel with our latest feature, The Adventurer. We have all the essentials for wandering through the mountains, spending a day at sea, sipping Chardonnay or Merlot in wine country, or even exploring the heart of a foreign city.

When embarking on a trip to the mountains, packing can be taxing when you're clouded with thoughts of not having all the comforts of home. While the idea of being miles from all-too-familiar streetlights and crowds is always relaxing, deciding what to bring along to a weekend spent in a secluded cabin or tent is always a matter of necessities! Light and comfortable pieces like a cotton dress or light blouse are perfect for all kinds of weather because they can easily be mixed and matched in order to create stylish and comfy layered ensembles. Don't forget sunglasses and a pair of close-toed shoes!

Days spent among surf and sand are things we daydream about! The key to packing for the perfect beach vacation is making sure to include versatile pieces that can be dressed up for a night drinking cocktails or dressed down for a day spent collecting seashells and exploring tidepools. Pretty strappy sandals, an array of dresses, and a cute cover-up are perfect for creating both dressy and casual outfits. Finally, make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and a hat to protect you from the summer sun!

Even if you aren't a seasoned sommelier, a weekend in wine country spent learning the perfect pairing of red and white wine with main dishes, desserts, and a variety of cheeses can be both educational and relaxing. Cute and comfy maxi dresses, crocheted dresses, and embroidered blouses in a bold color palette are perfect for a vineyard getaway. Whether you're planning on a casual ensemble with cute oxfords for a picnic lunch or a candlelit formal dinner, these pieces are perfect for a weekend spent at a winery!

Diving into the hustle and bustle of a new city is exciting- there is always so much to see! Towering buildings, winding streets, and bustling streets create a landscape filled with excitement. Comfortable sandals, flattering silhouettes, and simple lines are essentials for a vacation in the city. Keeping your pieces effortlessly polished will allow you to be ready for a quick stop at a cafe or an afternoon at a museum gazing upon priceless works of art. A structured purse is always a necessity for keeping maps, a camera, and sunglasses close by!

No matter where you're embarking on your getaway, bringing all the right pieces for your vacation is essential for staying comfortable and ready to explore your new environment. Where would you love to go on vacation this year? Let us know!

It's no secret that we love bold hues. Hues from tangerine to sage green and radiant orchid are perfect to pair with neutrals and even playful pattern mixing. Wearing a bright color can be an instant way to change your mood- even something as simple as wearing red lipstick or a colorful pair of flats can elevate your confidence and style. We love how these Ruchettes integrate pops of color into their ensembles!

Signee of Signeroo looks stunning in our floral Tulle shift dress. The colorful pattern in this frock stands out with help from her cobalt blue accessories and a dash of pink lipstick. This flattering dress is a springtime essential- from the floral pattern to the comfortable silhouette, it is perfect for warming spring and summer days!

Chelea Bird's Chelsea is dressed like a vintage darling in our woven dress! Paired with nude heels and a stunning dessert setting, the bold orange trim stands out against the shades of cream on this classic frock. Even the hint orange found in her bangle bracelet pops in this neutral outfit!

Kelly of Wears Kelly looks ready for a day in the sun! From her bright yellow earrings, cute green shorts, tangerine nails, and adorable coral woven sandals, Kelly's ensemble is popping with pretty colors. Her neutral tank top perfectly balances the array of bold hues she wears, and we would love to try the fruit-infused lemonade she has in hand!

We can't decide what we love more - Leeda of At This Volume's Ruche ensemble, or the cute corgi pup! Leeda's blouse featuring orange embroidery is the perfect complement to her neutral relaxed pants and sandals. Her statement necklace and dainty bracelets provide a dose of bohemian style to this casual outfit!

The Blue Curtain's Lizette looks polished yet comfortable in this colorful jumpsuit. The global print featuring geometric shapes and shades of green, orange, and blue make this ensemble extra swoon-worthy. Complete with ankle boots and an array of necklaces, Lizette's style provides us with adventurous inspiration- we would definitely take this outfit on vacation!

These colorful outfits have definitely inspired us- from bold florals to touches of bright hues, we are looking forward to seeing more color this season. We always love seeing Ruchettes take our favorite pieces and transforming them with their personal style!
