We're not nutrition experts, but we are confident in saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your morning off on a good note with this fruit and vegetable packed breakfast drink!
1 banana, sliced
1 kiwi, peeled
1/2 pear, sliced [with skin left on for added fiber]
1/3 cup pineapple
1/3 cup mango
1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
1 tbsp. honey
1 cup packed spinach
1/2 cup-3/4 cup vanilla, unsweeted almond milk, depending on desired thickness
Add all ingredients into your magic bullet (or blender) and blend until smooth. If you're using a magic bullet, you may need to blend in increments - adding about half the ingredients, condensing by blending, then adding the rest.
This smoothie is the bomb. When i make it for breakfast, I notice a little kick in my step the rest of the morning. I like to think all of the vitamins and nutrients seeping from it provide an added energy boost. I'll let you in on a little secret--sometimes, I don't even drink coffee when I make it...blasphemy, I know, but it's true.
