As the Saturdays and Sundays on our calendar get filled in with holiday parties, we want to fill our closet with holiday outfits to RSVP in style…because for the most merry time of year, only the cutest of holiday outfits will do! Whether you’re planning a casual-luxe holiday outfit for hanging the ornaments at home, putting together a sophisticated ensemble to attend a dinner party, or looking for the perfect party dress for the big NYE bash, find soiree-style inspiration in our holiday feature, Let It Snow

Let your holiday outfits take a cue from the tinsel and lights of the festive season and become just a little more glamorous, with dashes of sparkle and romance. Reach for on trend metallics to incorporate modern edge into classic staples, and pair them with unexpected pieces, like black and white Aztec prints or chunky knit sweaters. Leather jackets and faux fur vests are also perfect modern additions that lend a chic edge to feminine pieces like lace dresses and flowy maxis. If you have to go straight from the office to after-work cocktails, or just want to give the dresses your closet a break, try tucking an embellished blouse into tailored trousers. A sleek hairstyle, a pair of heels, and red lipstick are all the look needs to be soiree-ready. Another effortless but elegant holiday outfit comes together when you mix black and white pieces together – perfect for dashing out the door when you need to get to the Nutcracker on time! And let little black dresses be your faithful holiday outfit standbys. An LBD can be accessorized differently depending on the soiree, so you can dress it up for a fancy evening, or add a cardigan and flats for a relaxed get-together. Although every holiday outfit deserves a statement necklace as the finishing touch!

We love taking you behind the scenes of our lookbooks and features, to give you peek into the creative process. For example, when we laid down the snow, we discovered that it was quite slippery. So our wonderful model Ali had to pose while moving as little as possible! You’d never know by how gorgeous she looks in every frame right? We asked our stylist, Sarah, for her thoughts on the shoot and inspiration. "I was inspired by the spirit of the season and how magical it is this time of year. I wanted to incorporate quintessential holiday pieces, as well as more casual pieces that can take you from day to night. I wanted the hair and makeup to have a modern, yet whimsical feel. It was also exciting to have "snow" on set, although it was slippery to walk on!"
