Shop the entire Ruchette look above:

cozy purple dress, turtleneck sweater, striped cardigan, jewel-toned necklace, structured satchel, comfortable wedge booties, crystal watch, gold bangle set

'Tis the season for holiday parties and mistletoe, which means countless hours of travel in a plane, train, or automobile. One of the biggest dilemmas? Staying comfortable while traveling and looking put-together upon arrival. Not to worry though! Here's what our stylist, Mara, has to say about the perfect traveling-party outfit:

How to travel in style? It's easy! Dresses are my go-to for travel and holiday parties. They're comfortable to sit in for hours and automatically create a fashionable outfit. In the outfit above, I layered a soft turtle neck underneath for extra warmth (I always get cold in the car and on planes!), but it can easily be removed if you feel too warm. Bringing along a cardigan adds an element of sophistication and doubles as a cozy blanket for the ride too. As for shoes, wedges are chic, yet easy to walk in while dragging your carry-on suitcase. To top of the look, a structured satchel makes it easy to find your essentials, such as a passport and boarding pass, and at the same time, it looks effortlessly polished. No holiday look is complete without accessories, so I added a few lightweight pieces for a touch of sparkle too. With the right combinations and layering tricks, it's definitely possible to stay comfortable and fashionable at the same time!

Happy traveling and happy holidays, Ruchettes!
