Make your baby clothes last longer with these helpful tips from Ruche moms!

1. Always put a bib on your baby while he/she eats to prevent stains. Stains will still happen though, so when they do, pre-treat them before washing with baking soda and white vinegar or dab them with lemon juice and hang in the sun, which is also a natural disinfectant.

2. When in doubt, buy a size up in clothing. Items often shrink after washing them over and over again. You'll want a little room for sudden growth spurts too.

3. Dress smart! If you're going somewhere where you're baby will be actively running/crawling, such as a park, dress him/her in durable items like jeans. If you're simply going for a little stroll, make use of your more delicate pieces.

4. Invest in a sewing machine and turn outgrown clothing into new items. For example, a baby bodysuit can be turned into a tee once they outgrow the suit. All you have to do is make a few snips. You can also sew on an extra layer to baby skirts when they become too short.

Do you have any helpful tips to share? We'd love to hear them!
