The desert has always been a part of my heart and soul.
I grew up outside of a desert small town, where my mom trained horses and my dad cooked incredible meals, all while my three brothers and I played imaginative games and enjoyed the sunshine.
Meeting my husband was a whirlwind romance. We met and fell in love in high school, went through college together, and got engaged and finally married on New Year's Day, 2011. 1-1-11. Still to this day, I can't imagine a more perfect wedding for us. It was everything I ever could have imagined.
After our snowy cabin getaway for our honeymoon, (where I had chopped my hair off into a fresh new bob), we came back to desert life on a Sunday afternoon for a special Honeymoon shoot. It took on the spirit of a "Trash the Dress" session, only without the dress trashing! It was a fun and whimsical dedication to my life spent in the desert, and the property that I had always called home. It was also the perfect way to usher in a new era of life for us in the new year. Because now, I had a very special someone by my side to bring into my heart and to share all my memories with.
