view Mai's maternity-friendly outfit: chiffon dress, pendant necklace, chain bracelet, plum wedges

Dresses with lower elastic waistbands are getting a bit too uncomfortable now. A little trick I learned while trying to fit into some of those dresses was to move the elastic waist band higher up to your empire waist band and tuck the excess fabric underneath. It might not work for all dresses, but you should definitely give it a try. That is what I did for this dress.  Of course, that will make your dress a bit shorter so you might have to wear a pretty slip underneath like this one.

We spent this weekend preparing the nursery for painting. We've decided on one gray wall and mint horizontal stripes along the rest of the walls. We started taping off the walls and are currently testing some paint samples.

There are so many things to do! Not only do I have to work on our home nursery, I also need to start working on my "office/nursery" in our Fullerton office too! The palette we're going to use for our home nursery is here.

So excited to share our progress with you!

  • Ooo fun color palette! And I never thought of adding a slip. I've always just worn leggings when they get uncomfortably short. Thanks for the ideas!
