Mai's 31 weekk Maternity Outfit

We spent most of our weekend finishing up her nursery. It has definitely been a work-in-progress over the last few months! After repainting the crib and dresser (found on Craigslist!), painting the mint stripes on her wall, and setting up the sofa bed from Ikea (which I'm sure will come in handy), we finally put everything together and decorated the walls. Josh and I had so much fun with the vintage decals -- the options were limitless! The last thing we need to do is hang shelving above the dresser. After that, the next project is to work on the nursery in the office! Oh boy... so much to do and there is less than 2 months left before she's due!

As you can see, there is a letter "A" in on her dresser. "Amelie" is still at the top of our name list and the only reason why we'd change it is if she doesn't look like an "Amelie" when she arrives. We love how her name would be "Ame" (ah-me) for short. :)

  • I was just wondering... the picture of the previous crib isn't the same as the crib in the nursery. Was a different crib purchased and painted, or did you alter the spool-type crib? I'd love to see the process.

  • Hi Ruche and Mai!

Question, please. I bought the same gypsy ruffled curtains in cream. Also, for my baby girl's nursery. I have hung them up and they look great. Only thing is that they are sheer and so light still comes in. I was wondering if Mai did anything or added something to rhe curtains to block out the light, still using these curtains. Thank you!

  • Hi Suzy,
I actually have blinds for my windows underneath the curtains. However you can find curtain rods that allow double curtains and you can put a thicker curtain underneath and the ruffle ones over. :) Hope that helps!
