The much anticipated moment before the new year has arrived - Pantone has announced the official 2015 Color of the Year! Hues from past years include Emerald and Radiant Orchid, but 2015's shade is a "subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth." We would describe Marsala as a brick red with earthy undertones, reminiscent of red wine. This hue is definitely going to be spicing up our wardrobes in the form of textured dresses, ankle boots, and sophisticated blouses. In honor of the 2015 Color of the Year, we picked a few of our favorite pieces reminiscent of this rich color! marsala-clothing

Marsala is the perfect way to add a bold, yet refined touch to your outfit. Complementary to all skin tones, we love the idea of dressing up a pair of Marsala ankle boots with a neutral shift dress, or cinching a casual cardigan and blouse with Marsala belt. If you want to make a statement, throw on a coat or jacket in this elegant hue or don a Marsala dress or lounge pants! We love this color paired with soft grey and blue tones as well as other warm reds like golden oranges, soft coral, and apricot shades.MARSALA-OUTFIT

Whether you're adding this color to your wardrobe, wearing it in the form of lush lipstick or blush, or integrating it into your home decor the possibilities are truly endless - we can't wait to start wearing this gorgeous color! How are you planning on wearing this hue in 2015? Let us know!
