Those of us at the office spend most of our time working at our desks. Because this is the space where aim to be creative, innovative, and productive, the personalization of work spaces is essential! Your desk, whether you're working from a home office or in a industrial building, should be a space that serves multiple functions like cultivating your intellect, a place for relaxation and reflection, and have some of the essential comforts of home. Here are some tips for creating a productive work space that is still a reflection of the special person you are!

When getting started tackling the challenge of sprucing up an old space or personalizing a new one, the most important thing is to create a space that will help you produce your best work. You want to stay focused, but you also want your desk to inspire you and keep you motivated! Don't forget to look at your surroundings and try to have your space reflect the formality and atmosphere of the rest of the office.

When decorating your space to reflect why your style, avoid adding distraction-inducing clutter. A good rule of thumb is when it comes to photos or small prints is to limit them to one or two and place them in simple frame. Having a familiar face at work of a loved one will always induce a smile, which is always nice come Monday morning! Small items like notepads or notebooks are a great way to stay organized while still reflecting your individual taste and personality, along with a pretty patterned mouse pad or cute pen and pencil holder. In addition, we love small, cute trays to hold spare items like paper clips or extra bobby pins without cluttering your desk. You can even keep comfy with a simplistic pillow placed on your desk chair!
