Our typical Spotlight post showcases women we admire and their sense of fashion, but we'd like to make this spotlight a little different and take a second to acknowledge a significant woman in history, Rosa Parks.

Today, on March 27, 2013, the statue of Rosa Parks was unveiled in the U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall. All because of a simple act of defiance in 1955 in which she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Alabama, Rosa Parks became a powerful figure during the civil rights movement and today, is still a woman of inspiration.
