Shannon of the fashion blog GBO Fashion is a true Ruchette – classic, stylish, and genuinely sweet. Add in her sassy sense of humor, and you’ve got one of our favorite style bloggers in the blogosphere! Shannon is an Idaho gal who found her way to San Francisco, which means she has the best of both worlds: Midwest niceness and city sophistication. We have been following her blog for the fun posts and outfit ideas, and you would be hard pressed to find another woman with such chic maternity style. Shannon’s description of what it was like to grow up with three sisters kind of makes us wish we had a style approval board to tell us every morning, Good, Bad, or Ok?! Read on for our interview with our January Ruchette of the Month!

GBO is like your very own personal sister-style-critic. Growing up in a house full of girls, how has fashion played a role in your relationship with your sisters?
Fashion is one of the things that brings me and my sisters together. It's something we all have an interest in, so it's a fun part of how we interact with each other.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and just celebrating your 3 year anniversary!  In regards to your pregnancy style you said, “comfort is urrrything…”, how do you style-up your comfort clothes?
One of the easiest ways I've found to style-up my comfort clothes is with jewelry. Statement necklaces are my favorite- they can make any comfy outfit look like you tried a little harder than you actually did! A big stack of arm candy works too.

What is your go-to weekend outfit?
These days, especially as I get further along in my pregnancy, my go-to weekend outfit always seems to involve leggings, riding boots, an over-sized sweater and a statement necklace. It's comfy but still chic.

What is the one thing you cannot leave the house without?
I can't leave the house without my favorite lipstick and a bottle of water.

How would you describe your style?
I think my style tends to lean toward the classic. I try to stay up with trends but never want to feel like I'm a salve to them. I won't wear something I don't feel good in or don't like simply because it's in style. I'd also say my style is fairly casual, feminine, and relatable. It's style for the every day girl.

What’s your favorite fashion trend for this winter?
I can't get enough of tartan/plaid and fur!

Quick fire:
-- Boots or heels? Boots since being pregnant. Prior to prego days, heels all the way!
-- Hot chocolate or hot tea? Hot chocolate, especially during the holiday season!
-- Red lip or nude lip? Red!
-- Idaho or California? Idaho baby- always and forever. It's my home.
-- Polka dots or stripes? Both together!
