Celebrate the last days of summer with a fun ice cream and cupcakes party! This cupcake recipe and DIY dessert table, submitted by Alessandra, of Almalu's Place, is one of the cutest ideas yet. ♥

    Dulce De Leche Cupcakes Recipe:

    180 gr butter
    170 gr sugar
    3 eggs
    300 gr dulce de leche
    155 gr flour
    teaspoon of baking powder
    2 spoons of milk

Preheat oven at 180° C and line 12 muffin cups with paper liners. In the bowl of an electric mixer beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at the time. And then add the dulce de leche. Add the flour and baking powder gradually alternating the to milk. Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds with batter and bake for 15 minutes.

For the decoration, I made a simple vanilla frosting, divided in more cups and colored with food coloring. Then I decorated cupcakes to make them look like ice cream scoops with the addition of sprinkles, chocolate, and a cherry on top!

I wanted something with a bit of a twist for my dessert table, so this "ice cream cone" made of cupcakes was a perfect fit!

    You will need:

    acrylic colors

    washi tape

Create some stripes with washi tape and color with acrylics.  Or you can draw some polka dots, stars or whatever your fantasy suggests! You can also decide to add guests names on each spoon!

Aren't these the prettiest for Summer parties or dinners?!
