Besides, what could be more beautiful than ringing in the new year as newlyweds? With confetti, noisemakers, and their closest family and friends, their celebration was filled with love and dreams of all that 2013 would hold.

From vintage touches like antique furniture and the gorgeous bouquet of wildflowers, this beautiful wedding inspiration shoot looks like something out of a daydream. Love is in the crisp air, and the enchanting woodland atmosphere along with the muted color palette comprised of soft greens, ivories, and hues of purple make this series of photos something we could stare at all day long!

The soft glimmers of light peeking through the forest tree branches perfectly compliment the romantic setting of this shoot. Cascades of flowing white and the hint of sparkle in the floral belt give our Daphne gown the ideal combination of tradition and vintage inspiration. Like the loose tendrils of her effortless hairstyle, the hem of the dress and billowing fabric sways and falls perfectly. We're simply smitten!

Pictured in our Noelle dress below, the one shoulder detail and delicate floral hem create a look that is unaffectedly ethereal. Both brides are pictured with effortless updos and hints of antiquated charm and the styling and composition of these photos are equally gorgeous and a timeless treasure. On top of the already impressive images, the photographer captured each of these moments on film instead of digitally! Every movement of the gowns, sparkle in the accessories, and flawless smile is immaculately portrayed. We're so glad she put in the extra effort because we are in love with this shoot!

Photographer, Melissa Perlman, discusses the shoot:

The thought of shooting in a beautiful location like Highland Springs Resort was a dream but to turn that into reality was like shooting in heaven. It’s not too far off of my main inspiration for almost every shoot…Romance. The way the sun hit the lavender fields at sunset reminded me of a scene out of Pride and Prejudice.

Thankfully, Highland Resort provided us with the beautiful green velvet loveseat to use in the middle of the olive trees to create a more intimate setting. Those pictures ended up being my favorites. I had a great group of people that contributed to the shoot -- starting with Ruche Bridal!

Jane Austen inspiration and antique charm... what more could anyone ask for? If you adore this shoot as much as we do, be sure to check out all the talent and vendors that made it happen!

Step through the garden gate and prepare to be enchanted by this gorgeous bridal inspiration shoot! Elisheva, of Elisheva Golani Photography, is a talented Houston-based natural light photographer with a love of romantic images and all things vintage. She set out to collaborate with Houston wedding vendors to bring her vision to life, and we’re sure glad she did because these images have us floating through a daydream.

We love seeing our Isla wedding dress as the centerpiece of a romantic bridal look, and it is perfected by the lovely makeup from Makeup by Rivki and a profusion of paper blooms from Paper Floral Artistry. The Isla gown, with its delicate pleats of cream chiffon, moves with ease and grace, making it an ideal dress for a garden wedding. The unexpected juxtaposition of paper florals in a lush green garden setting is just the kind of dreamy bridal inspiration we needed to give a fresh burst of prettiness to our day!

I met Khrystyna Balushka from Paper Floral Artistry at the Houston Arboretum. Together we set up the set while our model Tammy was getting her hair and makeup done. I had tried my best to describe to each of the vendors what my vision was and I am thrilled to say that it came out even better than what I envisioned!

    -- Elisheva

If you’re similarly enchanted by the idea of paper flowers, take a look at Paper Floral Artistry’s Etsy shop or go the DIY route and craft your own with the help of our tutorial featured on the Design Sponge blog. And you can find our Isla wedding dress here or browse our collection of vintage-inspired and modern wedding gowns.

A bridal shower is a chance to celebrate your dear friend’s upcoming nuptials, but the prospect of planning and hosting can be daunting for any MOH. Never fear, we have a bridal shower inspiration shoot to share with you with all the ideas and little details for planning the loveliest afternoon imaginable for the bride-to-be!

Simply Put Vintage Rentals teamed up with Simply Jessica Marie to put together a vintage-inspired tea party bridal shower, which was recently featured on Wedding Chicks. Remember when you were a little girl and you would play dress up, inviting your friends over for a tea party and looping your mother’s pearls around your most honored guest, teddy bear? This charming shoot has the sweet nostalgic feel of those girly tea parties, combined with the romance of a vintage-era aesthetic and ladylike sophistication. And it was all beautifully captured by the talented Kait Winston Photography. So make a pot of earl grey and stay a while – this is bridal shower inspiration you won’t want to miss!

Our vintage-inspired bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses were used for the shoot, and they fit so wonderfully into the romantic vision for the shoot. The bride and her maids look elegant with soft curls, braids, simple make-up. The bride wears our Isla dress, one of our most popular bridal gowns for good reason! Crafted in effortless chiffon, it’s the definition of graceful simplicity. Our bridesmaid dresses featured in the shoot are perfect for a bridal shower or wedding with a blush, champagne and pink color palette.

As much as we love all the thoughtful details in this bridal shower inspiration shoot, from the letterpress invitations to the floral teacups, it’s the sweets table that we can’t stop ooh’ing and ahh’ing over! A great bridal shower needs pretty décor and mouthwatering cakes and sugary confections like those baked to perfection by Sweet Melissa.

One idea we can’t wait to steal from this styled shoot is filling vintage trunks with the freshest of flora. These pretty florals, with shades of pink and purple and green, fit in perfectly with the look and feel of the Tatton Hall grounds. And adding flowers to slender white vases, tea cups, and vintage silver pots gives a sweet garden party feel to the shoot.

We’re so smitten with this vintage tea party that we might not wait until a bridal shower comes along to throw one of our own!

There is something about the crisp fall air and turning leaves that makes us daydream about rustic weddings. So this rustic engagement shoot from Marie of Marie Skerl Photography was exactly what we wanted to look at all morning with a cup of coffee in hand. Speaking of coffee, how cute is it that Maia and Mark grabbed a cup of coffee at Starbucks during their engagement session!? We think more couples should consider stopping for a Pumpkin Spice Latte in between all the kissing and holding hands that an engagement session requires! We hope you enjoy these autumn-drenched photos – they are the best inspiration for welcoming the coziest of seasons.

Maia and Mark wanted to incorporate some of the things that matter most to them as a couple in their engagement session. With a love for Starbucks and rustic farms, it only made sense to include both of these locations! Most of their engagement photos were taken at a beautiful site in Surrey owned by A Rocha, a farm style conservation organization that Maia used to work for. A big yellow barn, an open field, and even a llama set the scene for this sweet couple who look happily in love in every shot.

Choosing what to wear to an engagement session can be so difficult, but Maia put together a charming outfit that fits perfectly with the rustic outdoor setting. She is wearing 2 of our favorite timeless trends: mustard yellow and lace. And a rustic ensemble would not be complete without fall boots! We also love how she coordinated the colors with Mark’s outfit without it being matchy-matchy (see how the yellow in her cardigan ties in with his plaid shirt?)

Congratulations to both Maia and Mark on your engagement as well as a big thank you to Marie Skerl for sharing your beautiful photographs with us.

We want to know, how does the rustic style of autumn inspire you?

A gorgeously styled wedding shoot can inspire us to no end. And with venue/event design from Pineola Farms and photography by Dannielle of Elle Puckett Photography, we knew we were in for a special treat! But this styled wedding shoot, with its elegant 1920’s aesthetic and heaps of Southern charm, completely exceeded even our highest hopes of wedding inspiration. We loved seeing how our drop-waist lace wedding gown created a vintage-inspired bridal look that fit in seamlessly with the vision of the shoot. With spot on 1920’s trends and a modern approach to vintage, a classic Art Deco color palette and stunning florals, this is quite simply a styled shoot we could gaze at all day long. Hear Dannielle explain all of the beautiful details that went into the perfectly charming shoot.

Three southern ladies all sat down together to discuss an idea for a styled-shoot and all three had brought notes that led to the same idea “a hint of 1920's inspiration for today's southern bride”. We wanted to create something unique but it was also important to us that it be something achievable and affordable.

We had researched 1920's wedding trends and made notes of the things we loved the most including ribbons hanging from bouquets, mercury glass, crystal, art deco design, fringed lamp shades, and handkerchief hemlines.

We began to set the scene with a vintage saxophone and an old piano that someone wanted to throw out. We chose a color palette of gold, silver, white and black. Then we added the southern touches!  The floral arrangements and bride’s bouquet were made from flowers that most any southern girl would have in her backyard.  Two garden statues and a magnolia tree served as the altar and a vintage bottle of Southern Comfort sat upon the piano.

Our bride wore a lace, drop-waist, handkerchief-hemline gown from Ruche.  For hair, we went with a sophisticated 1920’s up-do adorned with lace hair pins and covered with a timeless veil by Violet Bells. Finally, her look was modernized by a pair of t-strap rhinestone-embellished Gianni Bini heels.

There are some more surprises and the shoot even goes into the evening. I think it looks like a speakeasy once the sun goes down!

    -- Dannielle

We partnered with Little Vintage Rentals, a charming vintage decor rental company in New York City, for a sweet modern-vintage photo shoot. In this styled shoot, photographed by Ananda Lima, the bridal party wore our Pure Enchantment Charmeuse Dress which, in our opinion, is the perfect color for any season, and added touches of blues and silver to complete the color palette. Continue reading to learn more about the shoot, as seen on Wedding Chicks!

Paired with unique hairstyles and fresh makeup by Beauty by Clara Oh, this styled shoot showcases classic styles for a timeless feel. Mandy, of Little Vintage Rentals, says, "For the bridal fashion, our goal was to create a bridal party with a traditional silhouette which could be relevant today or 40 years ago." We're smitten with the traditional, yet modern, look!

Styled in Studio Arte (a midtown loft), this group of vendors creatively combined natural accents, such as feathers and wood, with colorful vintage glass pieces for an overall fresh vintage wedding feel. We adore each individual detail, especially the simplicity of Gracious Decor's bouquets!

When it comes to wedding desserts, we always wish we could reach into the photos and serve ourselves a plate (or two). Mandy says, "Cookie Fairy Sweets' individual servings of handmade donuts and caramel corn were perfectly paired with a tower of whoppie pies. And yes, we did get it to eat it all after the shoot!" We're jealous!
