We're heading south and oh, so excited to announce that we will be at this years Texas Style Council from August 2nd to August 4th!

This marks our very first time attending this fashionable yearly conference. TxSC is "a weekend for female bloggers and women-centric business owners." This conference is all about the perfectly small, intimate workshops from experts in all sorts of creative DIY fields. Featuring Keynote Speakers, Emma & Elsie from A Beautiful Mess and presented by Squarespace, the secret behind exceptional websites (like this one).

If you happen to make it out to TxSC please don't be shy to come meet our very own Mai, CEO and Creative Director, along with our stylist, Mara from M Loves M during Saturday nights' Prom and dance the night away. And as the sun wakes you, come enjoy a delicious cup of morning jo on Sunday and say hi to the Ruche team. It's on the house!

Be sure to follow all the Ruche action on  Instagram and Twitter with #RucheTxSC and #TxSC13. Be on the lookout for Mara's #MLovesRuche hashtag too!

And since we'll be Austin, Texas for the very first time this weekend, we'd love a few recommendations from locals!

Leave a comment on this blog post below to tell us where we should visit while in Austin, Texas! We can't wait to see you there!

  • I love Austin, TX!! Live only 20 minutes south! If you feeling too hot, dip your toes in Barton Springs Pool or Hampton Pool (30 miles west). Want dinner and a movie, Alamo Draft House is the place to go. A little culture, visit any one of Austin museums (Bob Bullock Museum) or Texas State Capital. Dancing is on 6th Street or South Congress. And if you're up for a hike, visit Mount Bonnell -- it's very close to the mall ;)

Have a great time in Texas!

  • You have to try Torchy's Tacos while you are there! Sooo yum. Also check out Barton Springs Pool, like Carol suggested! Have a fun trip! I live just a little north of Austin and visit my mom there frequently!
