This year marked the fourth annual Texas Style Council conference and few of us lucky ladies here at Ruche got the chance to fly out to Austin, TX to enjoy it. The weekend consisted of Tex Mex dinners, socializing with some of the most well known lifestyle bloggers and dancing the night away at Prom. Having the chance to meet the people that we've worked with for so long was truly a rewarding experience. As much work as we all put into the weekend, we had such an incredible time. Now let us recap!

Arriving at LAX at 6am, the seven of us (including Amelie!) sleepily checked into our flight and boarded our plane to Austin, TX. As soon as we landed, we booked it to our hotel in order to check in for TXSC and made sure our clothes and books made it to the Friday Night Swap hosted in downtown on 2nd Street. After happily introducing ourselves and meeting so many new faces (and recognizable faces) we made our way to La Condesa for some highly recommended gourmet Tex Mex cuisine. After a day filled with travel, we couldn't help but scarf every last tapas down. By the time we had all made it back to the Hyatt where we would be staying for the weekend, we were stuffed and happy. Before turning in that night, we playfully made flower arrangements and shared our excited thoughts about what we were mostly looking forward to that weekend. As the night grew older, we realized how important it was to catch some shut eye. Our first day had finally tuned out the lights.

What seemed like minutes later, an orchestra of alarms went off telling us to prepare for our Breakfast with Ruche morning brunch with the Texas Style Council speakers. Everything fit perfectly in place as our early morning team work assembled and decorated our beautiful space. Breakfast couldn't have been a bigger hit! Meeting everyone like Julie from Orchid Grey, Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess and Katie from Skunkboy, put such a smile on all of our faces. Our full guest list included: Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky, Moorea from Moorea Seal, Jen from Jen Loves Kev, Katie from Skunkboy, Julie from Orchid Grey, Tieka from Selective Potential, Jesse from Style & Pepper, Monique from Curves & Chaos, Amy from Little Hip Squeaks, Tasha from Imperfect Concepts, Jenni from Story of My Life, Julia from Julie Edmonson, Carli from Inked Fingers, Sierra from Manic Trout, Hilary from Our Style Stories, Jen from Purse & Clutch, Megan from Greetings from TX, Eric & Kelsey from Words of Williams, Bethany from The Glamorous Housewife, Chelsey from The Paper Mama, Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess and Jessica from Square Space. After only a few short hours, the speakers had left to give their talks to hundreds of listeners and fans and we cleaned our coffee, fruit and pastry tables to perfection.

Setting up for Prom was incredible as we saw months of planning and daydreaming come to life. A huge thanks to Bee Lavish for providing the most beautiful vintage furniture. Our presence at Prom was perfected by the timeless furniture we found from them. With a photo booth set up, a beauty bar with all of our guests' beauty essentials and an entire lounge area to rest the tired dancing feet, our presence was very well received at Prom and we couldn't have been happier. Disco balls, champagne and laughter took us right into the wee hours of the night.

Sunday morning came so early as we set up our table for Coffee with Ruche but we couldn't have been happier to see everyone we love and adore still looking incredibly stylish and beautiful. How do they do it! We guess that's why it's so fun to read their blogs...what's the secret!?

We are so thankful and happy for our experience at TXSC this year. It was an honor to meet such successful and intelligent women (and men!). This was an experience we will hopefully get to relive next summer. Thank you Texas Style Council!

Picture below are Sam, Mai & Amelie, Tieka from Selective Potential, Beth and Kim.And finally, a huge thank you to Indiana from Adored Austin, and Kristin and the rest of the TXSC staff for all of their hard work. We had such a wonderful time and are now left so many funny stories and memories from an amazing weekend.
