I'm obsessed with the polka dot dress from look 1, the satchel from look 2 and the embroidered shirt from 3 :)
My dream vacation would be a 2 week county hop around Europe.

My dream summer vacation would be a trip to Pesaro, Italy. Tuscan Sun Outfit 1 would be perfect, light and breezy for the heat but cute and feminine for a variety of outings.

My dream vacation would be to visit Central America in outfit Tuscan Sun 8 with my boyfriend. It would be my first time out of the country, but we'd gaze upon the exotic vegetation and animals in a jungle (equipped with bug spray, of course) and mingle with natives speaking beautiful foreign words that taste like warm, inviting spices on the tongue. I can particularly see myself in Tuscan 8 wandering amidst an abundance of unique and colorful materials, trinkets and goods in a local market. My boyfriend and I would visit the coast and swim in warm crystal blue waters until sunset when we'd look upon the horizon with wonder. My boyfriend of several years would propose to me there and we'd savor the moment until millions of stars poked through a blackened canopy to wish us well.

My dream outfit would be the brigitte belted romper with the striped blazer from Tuscan Sun 11. I would wear it on my dream vacation to Nice, France. I had the opportunity to live in Nice a few years ago and met the only man that I have every truly loved. My dream vacation would be to go back to Nice with that special man and drink hot chocolates in the old part of town after enjoying a lovely walk by the sea and smelling the beautiful flowers at the weekly Saturday Flower Market. Then a lovely dinner at the little Italian restaurant where we had our first date and enjoying a bottle of wine on the steps of the Palais de Justice. What's amazing about NIce is that there are so many magical places just near by where you feel transported to another time, just like walking up the steps to Eze.

I absolutely love the delightful bow tank (in green) with the high-waisted shorts. It would be perfect on a summer day stroll in Florence, Italy. I fell in love with Florence and it's simple beauty last year and can't wait to go back.

My dream summer vacation would be somewhere slightly warm with a cool breeze, so I definitely think that Tuscan Sun 1 (the lucille polka dot dress and cute wrap) would be perfect for Seattle, WA. Seattle is so vibrant and fun, and the perfect time to visit for me would definitely be summer. I would look casual yet cute wearing that little getup, and that straw tote could hold some yummy fresh produce from Pike Place Market!

I love outfit 18! It is so feminine chic with the cutest vintage touch! It would be absolutely perfect for my trip to Ireland. I would love to be able to pick a random little Irish village and just settle in for the whole summer. To become a local, maybe pick up a bit of an accent, and learn to be a perfect Irish lass! This dress would fit into that lifestyle/vacation with absolute ease!

BUT I would REALLY love to go to Morocco, and the Tuscan Sun 3 outfit and accessories would be PERFECT!!! that lacy grey top with purple skinny pants and cute sandals and a big bangle! Its not something I would normally wear... but for Morocco it would be wonderful

I am very fond of Ruche.com, it's so vintage and nautral. My dream outfit would be a basic red dress with a white collar. I think that looks very preppy and bold. It would be perfect on my dream vacation, in London. As I walk around, and enjoy the mesmerizing view I will feel serenity, and I have actually been eyeing that dress for quite a while, and it would be greatly deared if I were to win $100.00 to purchase my dream outfit. Thank you

I dream of renting a car with my husband and exploring the entire island of Crete (in the Tuscan Sun 6 dress). Ever since I visited Greece with my mom and my sister and was told by a friendly local that that was the way to see Crete, I imagine our beautiful vacation of vibrant blues and wistful drives.

I cannot stop thinking about the striped blazer with the hot pink romper combo in outfit 11! I think I've been dreaming about how lovely it would look on an Italian gondola in Florence... :)

My dream vacation would be a tour through the green fields of the U.K. and Ireland. I would visit pretty little towns, and discover treasures in old stores, and of course drink tea. Look 8 is so lovely, and would be perfect for strolling through the streets of some old village, sipping a nice cup of tea, or exploring the ruins of and ancient castle.

The blue polka-dotted dress is a dream! For a vacation as simple and sweet as the dress, I would wear it to Belgium to explore the tiny shops, sway to the street music, and eat waffles covered in fruit and cream. Love.

My current dream summer vacation is a lovely get away to Paris. I've been once before, but I spent all my time running around to museums and seeing the sites. It was a ton of fun, but I want to go back and be more relaxed, enjoy the essence of the city instead of just the attractions it offers. I can see myself strolling along the Champs Elysees with my boyfriend wearing that adorable beachside embroidered dress look.Fun and flirty, I think that the soft pink really embodies the warm and relaxed atmosphere of a Parisian getaway.

My dream vacation would be to Mexico to see everything and anything Frida Kahlo ever loved, including her Blue House in Mexico City. The sand and turquoise dress in look 6 might be something she would wear (with a unibrow, of course).

I would definitely have to pick the outfit 22. When I was younger, I got to go on the vacation of a lifetime. It was to South Africa. Not only did the country have beautiful people, creatures, landscapes, and bodies of water, but it was where my dad was born and raised. I felt that I was able to connect with him on a level that I hadn't been able to before. I know that the question was what would be your dream vacation, but for some, dreams do come true. The beauty to them is that you can relive a dream over and over again. Thats what I dream about now. Being older, I understand the history and culture. I know that when my dream comes true again, I will be able to more fully take in the beauty through understanding. Tuscan Sun 22 immediately brought to mind being in South Africa. The landscape and the photography couldn't look more like the South African countryside. The outfit is both dressy and casual, perfect for European ideals. It captures the beauty that this country emulates and it makes its own bold statement.

My dream vacation would be to travel to Rome with my wonderful husband, in the Tuscan Sun outfit 10. There we would stay at a romantic bed and breakfast, tour the streets of old Rome, sightsee and visit the old colosseum, throw a coin in the trevi fountain, and enjoy relaxing together over a nice hot cappuccino.

My dream summer vacation would be to visit Europe. I would like to go back to Spain and along with that visit Italy, London, Paris, France and Germany. I can see myself in Italy strolling the streets checking out the markets and spending my afternoon in Tuscan Sun 2. I envision sitting at an outdoor restaurant enjoying a glass of wine and some Italian food people watching.

I like look 7. I would love to visit Ireland, and make some soda bread while wearing that beautiful apron. After that, I would walk through the country side to take in the sights and sounds. When it would start to rain, I would slowly return back to my rented cottage and eat my home made bread and some warm tea. A nice relaxing vacation in a gorgeous outfit.

My favorite outfit is the Tuscan Sun 18: Past the Orchard Top, Daisy Bouquet Floral Skirt, Primrose Beauty Open Toe Wedges, and the Bow Tied Together Elastic Belt in Grapefruit.
My dream Summer vacation would be a trip to Paris, France. I have wanted to travel here since the age of 12, and I am now 31 and never been there. I am enchanted by the city and the culture, not to mention the fashion! I think this outfit mentioned above would be perfect for it. It is very feminine and pretty and when I think of Paris, I think of feminine accents and ornate and frilly details. This outfit is the epitome of that. I'd like to sit outside at a quaint Parisian cafe and eat my croissant and drink a nice cappuccino while looking at the Eiffel Tower, all lit-up at night..just thinking of that image makes me smile!
Thanks for the opportunity! :-)

I Love look #17! I literally just pinned that dress a day or two ago. My dream vacation would involve some sort of resort in the deep south with just my husband. We wouldn't be tooo far from the kids, but we could get some R&R checking out the gorgeous gardens and historic sites (in fact, we did something similar for our honeymoon). This romantic dress would look just right amongst the azealeas and my husband loves that cut as well.

My dream vacation would begin as a road trip to the beach with a bunch of friends. We will make spontaneous stops at coffee shops and street vendors to fuel our tummies and keep our energy levels pumping. We would have a picnic or a bonfire at the beach, depending on the time we get there by. On the drive back home, we would stop by to run through a field of sunflowers. I think the Tuscan Outfit 2 is the best choice for my dream vacation. Its cute, yet sporty enough to allow me to run around in.

My perfect summer would be in Cannes, France, wearing the European Escapade pants. Although it isn't exactly Italy, the docks and beaches would be a fantastic destination for a brisk walk, enjoying the early summer breeze. The outfit will complement the nature of my vaccances: comfortable but not overly luxurious; colorful but not gaudy. The diverse striped colors will match with the adventures I'll experience in the old and new parts of town, which combines both the historical and modern culture of two worlds.

My ideal summer vacation, is going to spend time at a cottage. Hanging out on the dock in the morning, going for an early afternoon swim, and a late night stroll around the property, followed by a romantic fire and marshmellows, shared between friends, my boyfriend and my pup.

[perhaps my last comment posted before I finished it...]
I absolutely adore the black and white striped blazer and hot pink romper combo of Outfit 11, and I think it would look fabulous on an Italian gondola in Florence this summer! I recently married a European and followed him to Europe, and we are beginning to see our dreams come true as we begin to travel a bit outside of what we are calling home for now. My dream would be able to visit England, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Ireland and Scotland, which we won't quite be able to fit into our summer, but I am learning that just as Henry Miller once said, one's destination isn't ever a place, but a new way of seeing things! I am looking forward to see what really opens my eyes this summer! (and hopefully what I see will go really well with that blazer! :) )

My dream summer vacation would be exploring the vineyards in Argentina in Mendoza. Mendoza is similar to Napa and Tuscany in a lot of ways but more exotic and off the beaten path. I've always dreamed of traveling there one day. This outfit would be perfect: http://shopruche.com/the-tuscan-sun/mediashare.html#the-tuscan-sun_074
The outfit has the right balance of European and Latin styles and is not only chic but comfortable for a day of wining and dining.

I would love to spend a vacation walking the streets of Milan, feeling the warm breeze as I take in the history and art the surrounds me. I would begin with The park district and walk though side streets, looking for little moments and memories to treasure. I've absolutely fallen for Tuscan Sun Outfit #15, The Blue ruffle skirt and Dancing flats would keep me feeling pretty, comfortable, and feminine while discovering the beautiful city Milan.

My dream vacation would be a road trip through the French countryside with my fiancee in Tuscan Sun 20 (that lacy undershirt is to die for). I have always wanted to go to rural France to enjoy the peace and quiet, the scenery, and the delicious, delicious food. I also am weirdly obsessed with road trips; I much prefer driving to flying, the open road is completely freeing and relaxing; you get to see and feel so much more of a place by driving through it. Being able to stop wherever you want to have an extra peek around is wonderful, and a new surprise is always waiting around the next bend in the road. Road trips also makes the time you spend with the person on the trip much more fun and memorable. The spontaneity that they allow you creates endless opportunities for adventures, and doing so in a foreign country makes the whole trip even more exciting since everything is so new and different. Getting to share that fresh and exciting experience with my fiance would create a treasure trove of memories that we would both cherish for the rest of our lives together.

My dream vacation would involve traveling back to Syndey, Australia where my husband and I first met. We are from beauitful B.C. Canada and our home town's are 30 mins away from each other yet we had to travel to Australia to meet. It was perfect falling in love in a magical city and going back as a married couple of 4 years would be a dream come true. The vacation would involve heaps of surf and sun time. Outfit 6 would be perfect for an Aussie vacation because it matches the country's fashionably laid-back style.

I love going to Ireland in the summer. My dream vacation always includes a lazy summer spent amidst quaint shops, beautiful gardens, and delightful cafe's. I can picture myself perfectly in the Tuscan Sun 18 outfit while staying in County Kerry, a beautiful little town just outside of the Ring of Kerry, my favorite place to snap photos of lush scenery. There are many cafes to choose from and my favorite has a small garden around back with wicker chairs, and serves the most delicious panini's with tea for luncheon. After a fun, relaxing day playing tourist I would return to my hotel to sit by the fire in the lobby and read a book before bed.
Posted on June 25, 2012
Tuscan Sun Outfit 6 is perfect for a morning of shopping in Paris, lunch at a little french cafe, and then an evening at the Louvre. A tour of Europe, with a stop in Paris of course, is a dream vacation that will one day I will make a reality!

I am very lucky to belong to a family that loves to travel--we're going to Peru later this summer! The outfit I would love to be able to wear there is Outfit 2, the shorts and tank top, which is perfect for walking around in warm weather. The trip is taking up most of my monetary resources right now, so buying the outfit may be a little out of the question--but can you imagine how adorable it would look at the top of Machu Picchu? If I win this giveaway, I won't be just imagining it anymore :) I am so excited to be travelling to Peru, taking in the sights and smells of local and international treasures and learning so much about people that grew up so differently than I have. That's what travelling is all about!

My dream vacation would have to be going to Paris, France. I am a fashion merchandising major and would love to wear the outfit in Tuscany Sun 16 while being able to visit fashion shows/events, workshops, etc. I love the light floral look in the coat and also the deep purple of the skinny jeans. Makes a very polished chic look for Paris! I would also love to get a chance to take a French cooking class(es) while wearing the beautiful Tuscan Sun 7 outfit. The apron would help me be very prepared to cook (; and also be a beautiful accent to the floral skirt and subtle orchard top.

Because my little sister is due to give birth to the first grandchild in our immediate family in three weeks, my dream vacation this summer would be to sneak back to Michigan where my family lives so I could alternate time spent with family and soon-to-be-born Simone and writing at the beach at dusk. The Tuscan Sun 8 Outfit would be perfect for both activities, letting me cuddle on the couch with the baby, make a fabulous dinner for my sister and husband, and run through the lake water. In the event my outfit is spoiled with baby puke, Tuscan Sun 14 would be a great back-up.

Look 19 stole my heart instantly. For years I have daydreamed of an Italian getaway. My father has a picture from when he was overseas in the military in the 50's in St. Mark's square feeding the pigeons... I wouls wear this very outfit and capture the moment in time to place next to his.
Posted on June 25, 2012
I absolutely adore the outfit from look 2. It would be perfect to wear on my dream vacation: spending a month travelling around Europe with a pocketful of spending money and my camera. I would visit the touristy, famous cities such as Rome, France, and London. I would also venture into small villages and countrysides to see the everyday life of the people.
Posted on June 25, 2012
My dream summer vacation would be a trip to the big Europe locations I've always dreamt to visit: Paris, Prague, London and Madrid.
I'm completely in love with the floral top and white skirt look. The wedge heels would make walking the streets of Prague a breeze in the fashionable outfit. Just styled perfectly with the comfortable up-do as well!

My dream vacation would be to Clovis, New Mexico--the small military town where my older brother Scott and his wife Laura live. Scott serves in the Air Force, and he is leaving tomorrow for a six month stay in Afghanistan. He leaves behind not only his wife, but also his stepson Hunter and baby Tyler. From what I hear, Clovis is not a glamorous or exciting town, but I believe any vacation spent with loved ones is special. Because I'm a grad student living in Philadelphia, I haven't had the money or time to make it to Clovis yet. I would love to spend the summer there with my sister-in-law playing with her beautiful children and planning a grand welcome home party for my brother. Tuscan Look 17 is the perfect outfit to transform a humble welcome home party into an unforgettable day full of hugs and kisses. After all, you don't have to go to Italy to wear a Tuscan dress.

The Garden Sun Hat tops off the outfit perfectly and will help my hair to stay put.

My dream vacation this summer would happen after my husband gets home from deployment. We would get to travel through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. We would soak in the culture as well as the sights and sounds around us. Through our travels we would get to ride an elephant, pet a tiger, take a train up Vietnam and find the coolest souvenirs. I'd be taking photos of the entire adventure, while looking adorable in the love is in the air open slit dress in taupe dress from look 10. I'd probably switch out the heels for the summer strolling sandals. I know we would be walking around through markets and cities, so flats would be essential. It would be a time for us to re-connect and fall in love even more with each other.

I already had my dream vacation this summer. I went to the Dominican Republic on a service trip. I didn't go to a resort, but I was up in the mountains in a city named Jarabacoa. It truly had the most beautiful scenery I have ever had the privilege to witness. Most of the time we were there working hard and digging a trench to provide fresh water to a nearby village. On our very last day we traveled 3 hours east to Santo Domingo, the capital city. We were all wearing beautiful sun dresses as we went sight seeing. I wish that I had seen the blue maxi dress from the Tuscan Sun 21. Actually the entire outfit is stunning. I'm a sucker for anything turquoise and wedges so the accessories alone were a selling point for me. While I was there it was outrageously hot, so having the sun hat would have been ideal. The merry miranda straw hat is once again stunning. The dress would have been perfect for the city as well, since we were required to wear something that covered our knees, for cultural reasons. I really wish that this lookbook had come out maybe two months sooner so I would have had the chance to see this outfit put together and then hopefully purchased it.

I would bring outfit nr 1 to my dream holiday to Ireland. That might sound crazy among all these hot and sunny destinations named above... I think Ireland is just the most amazing country to twirl like a Galway girl in that polkadot dress and show those old fishermen what girls are really made of: Ruche clothes! :) The blue of the dress fits perfectly with all the green hills. And if it's raining: not a problem! Match it with a cute raincoat and there's nothing to worry about!

In a perfect world, I would be swept from my painfully isolated hometown in the strong arms of a significant other into the wild allure of the European unknown. We would savor adventure and exploration while traveling through and soaking in the stunning Mediterranean beauty. I would be adorned in the soft, playful beauty of Tuscan Sun 3 as we found our way through the precious wistfulness of the rural Croatian streets, enveloped in the awe of peaceful bliss. Eyes full of the beauty of nature and man, tender happiness would gently engulf our hearts and spirits, expressing itself through loving smiles.

My dream vacation is to travel Greece. I adore look #21. I can see myself sitting at a cafe having dinner al fresco wearing this! The espadrille wedges and mint chiffon dress are fabulous. And I have been wanting a big floppy hat!

My dream vacation would be a trip to the big city. I'm in love with the sparkling lights, the dazzling shops, and the beautiful parks. Yes you guessed it, New York City. I would be wearing Tuscan Sun 22, the gorgeous flower print blouse and the elegant white lace dress. I would be walking around in this outfit, looking different and standing out. I would go and shop all the little boutiques, but somehow I would end up eating a sandwich. Then I would head over to central park, and there I would meet up with my family and stroll through the park. Of course I would have to stop and take a picture with the Alice and Wonderland statue (one of the families favorite movies). After we would walk around triangle square, and then from there we would go to a broadway performance. As the actors finish there final act, in awe I would look over at my sisters and brother. How did they not fall asleep(there all younger). Then I would say, they dont call it the city that next sleeps for nothin.

I am about to go on my dream vacation! I am getting married in July and then taking off on a Florida honeymoon with my husband! We will be spending a lot of time around the water and exploring the towns. Tuscan Sun look #14 would fit in perfectly with the weather and occasion. The breezy top and loose shorts are classy and mature looking, while allowing some breathing room (and could also go on top of that swimming suit;), with a hat to keep the sun out of my eyes and a pretty cardigan and gold jewelry to dress up the outfit for those cool evenings out. Nothing screams out "honeymooner" like this outfit does! It would help complete such a beautiful, long-awaited, dream vacation with my man!

I love the look from outfit #19 mostly because it is unlike anything I own, but think it would look great!
My dream vacation would be to travel to Paris for a month and take cooking classes and go to all the museums with my friends!

The secret's out: my boyfriend is proposing this summer! And I'd be woefully unprepared without Outfit 17, the perfect breezy and ladylike combination for a day trip out to Ocean City, Maryland. The retro vibe of bicycles on the boardwalk, teaching him how to eat blue crabs on brown paper, the sort of beach a Florida boy won't understand but will fall in love with-- there's nothing more relaxing than the in-between vibe of a Mid-Atlantic beach. And when the sun goes down and the night starts to feel warm and humid and sleepy, we'll share cotton candy and sticky fingers; and I can finally take my first ferris wheel ride. With any luck, he'd be smart enough to realize a perfect moment when I made it for him; and I'd happily say yes.
Since he and I have already discussed a beachy wedding, laidback and nautical to reflect my sentimentality and his Navy career, I'd love to put such an adorable dress on double duty and wear it again at our reception. It'd make such a sweet story, and I'd be able to relive the perfect vacation all over again.

My favorite outfit is number 17. I believe my perfect summer vacation would be a trip to Maine, or New Zealand. i love when the beaches have rocks and cliffs. I prefer a cooler climate. Outfit number twenty would be a nice touch for these places, They are warmer without being too heavy.

I would take TUSCAN SUN 17 PINK DRESS to Oahu's North shore in Hawaii. Darling dress. It fits my personal style best. And looks comfy for vacay too.

My dream vacation would be a trip to Europe and just fly away and try every restaurant and discover amazing new places and have a taste of each and every country. With the outfit number six, I can see myself either having some wine and a pasta dish in Venice, take a walk on the beaches of Barcelona or have some macarons in Paris and just relax on the grass. The outfit is casual and chic and just makes it look so comfy and appropriate to wear.
Have a nice summer :)

Soo... outfit #3 is my favorite for sure! Anywhere with my husband for a whole week would be my dream vacation right about now... perhaps somewhere warm and breezy.
Posted on June 25, 2012
My favorite outfit from the lookbook is number 8! My dream vacation would be going to Greece! I think that the flowy skirt and top would be very light and airy. The blues and reds remind me of the roof tops in those pictures of Greece.

My favorite place to be is in the redwoods here in California. There's no place more peaceful and yet, also no place as exciting for me! Tomorrow is my 26th birthday, which I share with my oldest brother, and today is my youngest brother's birthday ... if I could take off on a summer vacation right this moment, it would thrill me to bits to spend some time with my brothers & our families up in the redwoods. When I look at outfit # 2, I feel the romance Of holding my husband's hand in the meadows of sequoia, and also the whimsy & child-like fun of running around with family. A perfect outfit for a perfect vacation with both my husband, my brothers and their family!
A happy birthday, indeed.

I'm completely taken with the little blue polka-dot dress. The entire first outfit would be perfect to wear, well right now I am on a dream vacation of sorts. I'm on an internship in Barcelona for the entire summer! I would wear this outfit on a road trip north to Girona or Cadaquez and Figueres to visit the Dali museum and house.
Do you ship to Spain?

As I walk along the streets of Salzburg, I shall turn heads in my ensemble, outfit 2. Learning about the life and times of Mozart and capturing the beauty of Salzburg Cathedral would be lovely, and outfit 2 would allow me to do so in stylish comfort.

I just love, love, LOVE Tuscan Sun 15! I can see myself in it for an enchanting summer night wedding or teaching my 3rd and 4th graders! The bright colors with the patterned top is just divine!
My dream summer vacation destination is Yellowstone National Park. We were scheduled to camp there this summer, but because of work plans we are unable to make those plans. I am incredibly envious of all those who have visited Yellowstone. It is one of the top things on my Life's Bucket List, for sure. The serenity and majestic combination of nature fits my personality to perfection. I would spend all morning hiking or biking trails, just to spend the afternoons canoeing or kayaking down Yellowstone River, just to roast smores over an open fire later that evening. And, if the Mister (y husband) is up for it, perhaps a dinner overlooking the river or off into the distant lands of the mountains where I can wear Tuscan Sun 15! Can't you just feel the beauty in the air! Makes me want to go, NOW!
Posted on June 25, 2012
My dream vacation would be the picturesque Southern France. The colorful country club pleated dress and equally colorful accessories of TUSCAN SUN 6 would be my outfit of choice. My boyfriend and I would start our vacation by roaming around the town, exploring new sights, new tastes, and new adventures. After exploring and eating a delicious meal in a cozy cafe, we would hop in the car and drive to the sunny beach! We would take in the beautiful and sunny scenery as we'd drive by the coast, while my moroccan getaway scarf sways in the warm breeze and my nothing but clear skies ring sparkles in the sunlight. Ahh, perfect! :)

My favorite outfit is on page 7, the gardenia floral apron, past the orchard top and daisy bouquet floral skirt. I'm a cook and baker by hobby and I spend so much of my time in the kitchen. My dream summer vacation would be to italy where I can experience the glory that is food in its true purpose, to feed the soul as well as the body. To walk the streets and be able to traipse around the country side, embracing the simple unprocessed culture, learn how to make spaghetti and marinara from scratch, try authentic napoleons and be able to do all this with my wonderful boyfriend, "the human garbage disposal", would be a dream come true. I love italian food and try my best to make it as much as possible.
Posted on June 25, 2012
My dream vacation would be heading to Phuket, Thailand. To make this trek, I would love to be wearing the mimi fawn printed dress with primrose beauty open toe wedges and the nothing but clear skies ring in coral to top it all off. That outfit would make the perfect picture atop an elephant as I take a guided tour though the jungle. Post elephant ride, the dress would blend perfectly on a tiki hut aside the ocean.
Posted on June 25, 2012
The perfect outfit would have to be Tuscan Sun #1. Looking at it, I can picture Kyler and I on our honeymoon next summer. We're hoping to go somewhere tropical, but whatever we end up being able to afford, this outfit alone could take me there. The high collar is perfect, and the way that the loose cardigan makes it just the perfect shade of formal would be my favorite outfit for a day of exploration!
Posted on June 25, 2012
Perfect summer getaway would have to be spending a week or so at the beach with a few of my best friends, just relaxing and tanning all day :)
I absolutely adore the country club pleated dress look!

For a long time now, I've been dreaming up my "dream "vacation". I've always wanted to take everyone in my life who hasn't really been on a true vacation before or who hasn't been able to take a trip in years (myself included), and head to the mountains here in California. We could all get cabins by a lake and go boating and go on walks and bathe in the lovely California mountain sun. Outfit number 7 in the lookbook, with the apron, would be perfect for my dream vacation because I'd cook for everyone in my California country cabin kitchen!

Nothing could make me happier than losing myself in a tiny villa in the Tuscan countryside, somewhere near the vineyards of Montepulciano with no one besides myself and my fiance. Mornings would be spent scouring the hilltop town's fresh markets and produce carts for veggies and local fruits, a bottle of wine from the enoteca, and some fresh pecorino cheese from the nearby sheep farm. With our arms full of produce, my beau and i would return to our villa for an afternoon of sipping vino and preparing a delicious dinner in my gardenia floral apron from the Tuscan Sun Lookbook, number 7. My love would tell you that nothing looks better on me than a breezy lace top and a floral apron!

I could see myself walking in a forest near a lake. I have always wanted to spend a summer at a lake house to truly feel like it was summer time. Dressed in the Tuscan Sun outfit number 22, I could imagine the walk ending with a bonfire in the yard and talking with my friends and family.

Oh my, you had me at look 19! Where would my dream vacation be? That would be anywhere in which I had to cross an ocean to find. But really, if you make me pick exactly where I would flaunt this fabulous frock...that would be beautiful, exotic, Bali. (I'm secretly hoping this contest is for your clothes AND a trip to your destination of choice.) One can dream...

I love the whole Tuscan Sun Look 17! It would be just perfect for my travels into Italy as I tour the Leaning Tower of Pisa, with my best friend Helen; and check out some of the incredible restaurants available, sample hand made linguini from a hole in the wall café, and share a chat with the head chef. I can imagine myself peering into a canal leading into the grand Mediterranean
before my eyes, and seeing those same Picturesque Petals as the ones on my headband, and turning to my friend and having a conversation about the brilliant sunset over the horizon. With my Beachside Embroidered Dress blowing, as the wind gusts and blows my hair ever so gently. This trip is one that consumes my dreams nightly!

My dream vacation is Japan but I can also do these things in cities here in the U.S.

My choice outfit is outfit 17. I would be at a California lakehouse located in the middle of no where, hidden among trees. After swimming and tanning in the lake all day, I would meet a boy staying at the neighboring house. He would ask me to dinner, and on that hot summer night I would wear this dress to the small old town restaurant around the corner.

I would wear (the super cute!) outfit 8, walking along East Beach in Santa Barbara with my sweet beau. Enjoying the ocean and sunshine we really miss while living in rural Ohio. I would show him the ever so nostalgic Natural History Museum I frequented a lot as a kid, and then we would go see my grandparent's for their 50th. Which I can't imagine being anything less than fantastic as my boyfriend and my grandfather are the most humorous and pun-loving people I've ever met! They would hit it off ridiculously well. :)

I wake up in a bed of fresh white linen. My bare feet touch down on cold ceramic floor. There is a chill in the early morning air, but the sun is bright. It is going to be a hot, beautiful day. After enjoying a bath in a deep soaker tub, I slip on my purple skinny jeans and forest tapestry crocheted top (outfit #3), completing my look with some casually elegant jewelry, straw fedora, and flat sandals. I am ready. Ready to explore. Ready to see the world.
We spend the morning in the tiny hilltop village of Venasque, peeking over stone walls to see the rolling hills below. We eat pains au chocolat for breakfast, and sip our cappuccinos while sitting at a tiny bistro set in a cobblestone courtyard. We stop to buy some fresh cherries from some children who have set up a little roadside fruit stand.
We drive to Isle sur la Sorgue, where we walk across little wooden bridges, stopping to see the beautifully coloured buildings reflected in the still, clear water. It is market day, and we stroll hand in hand from vendor to vendor, purchasing small, pretty items: a floral head scarf, a burlap packet of Herb de Provence, a blue and ivory embroidered tablecloth. If we can't live here forever, we will surely fill our home with reminders of this magical place.
We spend the afternoon driving to Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer, where we sit in hot sand and stare at the bluest horizon we have ever seen. We dip our feet into the Mediterranean Sea. We stop for some salted caramel gelato as we explore the picturesque blue and white village, with the breeze from the sea cooling our skin.
We drive home, sunkissed and exhausted, and fall asleep with the smell of lavender wafting in the air. This is Provence. This is paradise.

Dreams, like wishes, have a tendency to be fluid, mercurial, changing from moment to moment. A few months ago I would have said my dream vacation would have been a summer on Martha's Vineyard or a trip to Bali and a stay right on the ocean, drinks on the beach and a massage every day. But I just moved, we just bought a house, the man of my dreams just started his medical residency and I am preparing for grad school. Our lives for the past few years have been crazy and exhausting and with residency starting it only gets crazier. The only vacation I want is one full day (okay, I'll be a little selfish and say "weekend") alone at home with him. I would choose Tuscan Sun 7. That skirt is precious, and would become a new staple, but what makes the outfit is the apron. We love to cook together, when we get the chance, which is rare. He loves my frilly aprons, and says no kitchen looks like home until I hang my aprons up. We have a gorgeous new kitchen and have not even had a moment working in it together. THAT would be my dream vacation. A weekend with my man, new recipes (I am making those oatmeal cookies ASAP!), good wine, laughing and playing together in our new house. Even one evening of that would be precious to me.

My dream vacation would be spent at the Lake District in England. Staying in a little moss covered cottage, drinking tea every morning, and going for long walks in the Tuscan Sun outfit number 1

I would love to go on my first trip to Europe in Tuscan Sun outfit #2. It's definitely my favourite outfit from the lookbook. In fact I just ordered the delightful bow tank! Just thinking about it sends me to a day dream :)

My perfect vacation is India and Nepal. For this vacation I would choose the outfit number 8, cause the skirt is perfect for the hot temperatures and in the same time is perfect to take bikes or motorbikes and go shopping through the streets of Deli, buy some spices, flower seeds... take a tour to the taj mahal and fall in love with the story about it, maybe meet someone who travels alone and start talking about the magic sunset of this place in the world, go with him/her to dinner and then continue the vacation together... :-)

My dream vacation would be touring Spain with my love wearing Tuscan Sun Outfit 10. I adore the Lovers lane sandals paired with the floral print on taupe love is in the air dress. It's so romantic and airy and perfectly represents the summer of love.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE look 14
it would be perfect for a windy day at the beach.
personally i would wear it any and every where.
my dream vacation would be a trip to California.
This outfit would definitely be in my suitcase.

The beautiful sunsets. The gondolas floating by. And me in the beautiful outfit on pg 10. All things would complete my Italian vacation. It's perfect for an evening of strolling along a bricked roadway and ducking in and out of shops (and eateries!) with my husband. Not anything too reveling, but fun, girly and flowing in the breeze.
Posted on June 25, 2012
Exploring the Amalfi Cost in Italy with my amazing boyfriend by my side and a picnic basket on my arm wouldn't be complete without the Tuscan Sun 8 outfit! The mosaic festival skirt is like a sunny day at the vineyard with its olive green and sunshine yellow brush strokes. Adam and I have talked about visiting his family in Curinga for years, and now that we're graduated university, it's the perfect time! :)

Dream vacation is to go to Ireland. My husband lived in Ireland for four years and he has the most amazing things to day about this beautiful, scenic country. The perfect outfit for me on my dream vacation to Ireland will be TUSCAN SUN 8. It it a riot of colors which perfectly mimics the amazing terrain of the country, the strong colors of the skirt makes me think of the Cliffs of Moher. Earth, greens and blooms standing tall next to the crashing waves. The scallop detail on the top makes me think of the water element. The outfit is very bohemian and so ME, and everyone knows that Bohemia is a Latin term for the Celtic tribe. Fitting, don't you think?
Posted on June 25, 2012
I love the coat and the purple pants from look 12 I believe it is. I would wear this outfit while riding a vespa up the Amalfi coast visiting each of the Italian cities. I absolutely loved Italy when I went last year and would love to go again but there is something I would change...I would change my outfit to this one :)

Cowboy Boots. Tuscan Sun 10. Tennessee Mountains. Sunrise. Company of one. Picturesque. All simple things, yet beauty is found in the eye of the beholder.

The outfit in which I would perfectly match my dream summer location is Tuscan Sun 14. The outfit pairs perfectly the ethereal bliss New Zealand flaunts. In a land that can depict mountainous Middle Earth like no other, I would practically blend right in to the hillsides, just as my ancestors did. The floral cardigan would daintily blow behind me in the breeze, exposing the exquisite sequined shorts that demand a second glance, breezy coral top, and glimmering necklace. I would toss my fear of hat hair to the wind as I donned this light sunhat, to protect my face from the harsh New Zealand sun, and see a bit clearer in this vibrant country unlike no other, filled with glorious beaches and snowy mountains, and lots and lots of sheep.
Thank you for providing this lovely opportunity at some gorgeous clothing, unattainable anywhere else, please pick me...

Loving the dress in Tuscan Sun 6. My dream vacation would be a trip to Europe with sight-seeing, good food, and some good bookstores and quality reading time.

By wearing "along the horizon chiffon dress in mint", which is perfect for a tropical green place like Taiwan where I've been dreaming to go with my love (now it's my hubby AND my 3 month old son) eating lovely snacks (OMG, I've already got watering mouth!) and going around the cultural-feeling cities (especially the famous Chengpin Bookstore and the Witch Bar!)and countrysides. Luckily, we will probably go there in the coming January (summer in OZ lol) and probably stay for a week or 10 days! How I wish I could wear the fresh and beautiful mint dress to fulfil my travelling dream! xxx

The dress on pages 80-81 is my pick. As a single mom my dream vacation includes my 2 kids and the beach... it does not have to be somewhere far away... just the time and relaxation with them away from the every day is enough!
Posted on June 25, 2012
My dream summer vacation is to visit my sister who currently resides in Florence. I miss her like crazy and would love nothing more than to explore Italy in style with my best friend. The Sinead Orchid coat (Tuscan Sun 16) would pair perfectly with a sunset stroll along the Ponte Vecchio and some lavender gelato!

My dream vacation would be in Paris, France. Outfit number 6 is perfect since it's comfortable and fashionable enough for France! I love it!
Posted on June 25, 2012
I would LOVE to wear the Lovely Lucille dress with a belt and wedges on a vacation to North Carolina to see my boyfriend who is stationed there. We'd spend our days riding bikes along the beach and our nights dancing under the stars. Throw in a wine tasting or two, and a photo op by an old lighthouse and the vacation would be PERFECT!

The dress in outfit #17 is my absolute favorite, and since I live in Texas and it's HOT, it would be a perfect fit for me. My dream vacation would be somewhere cooler than where I am, and I have always wanted to spend a summer in the English countryside, away from the crowds.
Posted on June 25, 2012
Look #17, strolling in the halls of beautiful Venice, shopping for delicious cheese and bread, with of course, my handsome boyfriend right next to me while the 5pm sun is shining beautifully on the waters! Love the dress!
Posted on June 25, 2012
My favorite piece from the look book should be the Tuscan Sun 21. It's fashionable yet very comfortable.
My dream vacation would be able to go to an island get away, to a beach, where the waters are a nice baby blue and very clear. to the point where i can see my little toes. to lay in the beautiful sun, to walk along the cold waves under neath the stars, to hear the calming noises of the ocean. just to be able to live life the the most relaxing place.

It would be an absolutely dream to hop from city to city in Italy over the summer, taking in the art, architecture, cuisine, and countryside beauty. The deep purple royal elegance ruffle skirt and the picture perfect blouse would look good with a camera around my neck and a phrasebook by my side. The dancing bow flats are stylish and quirky. The outfit is simple but charming, much like the Italian countryside.
Posted on June 25, 2012
Sitting in a quaint B&B, I can smell the fresh country air (as my dad would call it) tinged with the scent of moss, grass, and heather. A light rain decorates the window, slightly warping the view of endless sheep, their back ends colored to show the farm they belong to, crowding the narrow roads. I sip my tea, dressed in the perfect Love is in the Air dress in taupe, reveling in the broad Irish accents surrounding me. It is exactly as I imagined, exactly as all the pictures presented by my aunts depicted, but even better. I feel as if I am connecting with my heritage, and my beautiful outfit--Tuscan Sun 10--completes the perfection of the peaceful snapshot.

My dream summer vacation would be to explore the beautiful island of Phuket, Thailand. I'd fill my days adventurously with activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, touring on the banana boat, and of course, lounging on the beach with a cheesy romance novel. On days that I'm not seeking adventure, I can barter and shop at the open markets and feast on authentic, delicious Thai-food in Ruche's Tuscan Sun 8 look. This outfit offers both a relax, yet whimsical feel to it which would be perfect for a lax summer vacation on an island. My favorite aspect about the Tuscan Sun 8 look is that it allows me to be casual, trendy, and versatile all at once. I can easily take the mosaic skirt, scalloped top, and crochet vest to piece with other items in my closet. As someone who enjoys traveling, it's nice to have versatile pieces that allow me to have a flexible wardrobe. Besides, my sweet husband would absolutely appreciate it, because it means I won't have to overpack TOO much ;).

My dream vacation would be to go to Asheville, North Carolina. I could shop all day in the outfit shown with the Horizon Chiffon Dress. The Biltmore area is so beautiful and so are the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I love outfit 6, especially the way that pink scarf looks against the dress! I think outfit 6 and 3 would be perfect for a week spent exploring Spain, which is my dream holiday location. I can just picture it now.. *dreams*

I would love to wear outfit number 2 on my honeymoon in Cozumel. I would wear it while out hiking and exploring Mayan ruins and then could slip into my swimsuit and go exploring the coral reefs. That would be the best summer vacation.
Posted on June 25, 2012
My favorite is the Tuscan Sun look 2. My dream vacation right now, would be to go to Door County, WI, stay in an adorable old Victorian mansion turned bed and breakfast with my boyfriend. We would spend the day hiking on trails and eating at quaint and fancy little restaurants. The look would be so practical for being outside and active, while being adorable and fashionable enough to not have to change for evening.

Alright, so I have to be completely honest here. A visit to some far away, exotic locale would be a dream, but not for my current life phase. I'd miss my three tiny kids, and be worrying about their safety something terrible. Just last week we moved to San Clemente, CA and it feels like we ARE on vacation : ) So right now, there is nothing I'd like more than escaping to a nearby hotel for just two nights. My husband and I would explore our new city, shop, walk the beach, grab a veggie burger at Nicks and head back to the hotel for a swim and some cable television. But just because we were staying close to home doesn't mean I want to hang out in my everyday attire. Tuscan Sun 8 would remind my husband just how lucky he is to have moved here with me ; ).

Your summer is our winter here in the land down under. However, my perfect trip is already in the works regardless of the cold. My boyfriend and I are planning a pretend summery vacation at the beach in order to celebrate our three month anniversary. To feel effortlessly pretty the entire time, looks 14 and 3 will definitely be in my suitcase. The light and breezy cardigan and sun hat, both sweet and practical, will do well at providing protection from the harsh Australian sun as I watch my boyfriend in the surf from the sandy beach. Later in the evening, the causal sandals paired with vibrant jeans will allow for a cosy and comfortable viewing of our favourite flicks.

I would wear outfit number 19 on my perfect vacation to Greece! I love the flowy pants and the bright top. It is so bold yet delicately pretty. I can imagine my hubby and I shopping in the markets and enjoying delicious adult beverage on a street cafe overlooking the deep blue sea.
I'm probably going to buy these pants....

I'm in love with the green bow-fronted top and shorts look - with that gorgeous striped bag! - and I would wear it on my dream vacation, coincidentally, in Tuscany, which we are ACTUALLY GOING ON this summer!! Our whole family - kiddos, grandparents, and in between - is taking a villa in Tuscany this July, and that outfit would be perfect for roaming around, eating, sightseeing, and even chasing after the little ones... Gorgeous collection!

My dream vacation would be wine-tasting in the beautiful countryside of Napa. Tuscan Sun #10, with its long sleeves, would be the perfect outfit for cool evenings indoor A/C, and the low wedge would be stylish yet comfortable for strolling around the grounds.

I love Tuscan Sun 10! It's such an adorable look! My perfect summer would involve many trips to the beach with my friends. Swing Dancing most nights of the week and reading in a hammock in the shade during the day. Also trips to local farmers markets and flea markets.

Tuscan Sun 14 is simply flawless. I adore the floral cardigan, salmon blouse, and sequined shorts. The only problem with the outfit is that it isn't in Scotland with me on my perfect Summer vacation.
I would xplore ancient ruins and castles, enjoy picnicing in the most magnificant landscape full of mountains and valleys and green grass spotted with bursts of vibrantly colored flowers. In the evening I would return to my cottage at the sea where I would soak my feet in the cool waves and feel the fine sand between my toes. Scotland; the perfect place for romance, relaxing, and adventure. Scotland; the perfect place for me and Tuscan Sun 14.

My favorite outfit is from Tuscan Sun 14: the "Rose Isle Floral Cardigan," "Sunset Breeze blouse," and the "forever in my heart sequined shorts." I just love the flowing ethereal feel of this sheer floral cardigan and the peachy pink blouse paired with the fun sequined shorts!
I would wear this outfit proudly on my dream vacation traveling through the South of France. Specifically in the Arles and Avignon regions. I can see myself strolling through the luscious fields of lavender as the sun sparkles off the sequined shorts and the warm breeze flows through the floral cardigan breathing in the beautiful lavender air!
What a perfect vacation and wardrobe! :)

I love the beachside embroidered dress in look 17. It would be perfect to throw on for dinner at the Beach Cafe after a long day of hanging out at the dunes along the south shore of Lake Michigan in northern Indiana.
My parents grew up there and we vacationed there in the summers growing up. I went back last summer for the first time in quite a few years and really enjoyed all the memories of my family vacations there. I hope to take my kids there one day too!

I adore the lace shirt underneath the adorable dress in Look 20 and also the striped bag in Look 2! That outfit would be perfect for a week (or a month!) spent traveling through Europe and seeing the different countries. I have never been out of the country before and I would love to experience the foods, architecture, and fashion of the world! Of course, first stop Italy to see the beautiful country my family came from!

Tuscan Sun Outfit 1 would be IDEAL for touring Rome on a sunny day, snapping pictures and seeing all the amazing sights with my boyfriend :)

It’s my 5th day in beautiful London, England. The smell of fresh baked blueberry muffins dances its way up through the walk-up I am staying in for the week. I make my way downstairs to finish preparing my tea and grab the muffins out of the oven. With muffin and tea in hand I curl up with my two puppies Milo and Meesha on the window seat in the bedroom and watch the passersby on the street below. It’s going to be a magical day! I can feel it in my bones. Today my husband and I are heading to the park for a picnic and a walk around the city. We are determined to visit every old bookshop and antique boutique we can find. After that we’ll end the day by going to a nice dinner and to see “Wicked” on the West End. I decide that wearing something cute today is a must. Making my way over to the Victorian styled wardrobe I pull out my “love is in the air” open slit dress in taupe, “lovers lane” sandals, cherry red headband, “lemon drops” charm necklace and “vanilla sherbert” bangle (#10). The perfect outfit! It’s cute and fresh for my roam around the city, yet fashionable but not too formal for dinner and the play… *sigh the perfect vacation escape from Buffalo, NY. It may be a dream for now, but hopefully not forever.

Siena, Italy would be our destination. I would pack look #12, complete with sunhat and sandals, and take my husband on a tour through the streets I walked nearly a decade ago as a college student. The versatility of this outfit would be perfect for daytime wandering on cobblestone paths and evening meals had in a crowded piazza. We would walk the hills of the walled city, taking a respite here and there to sip a macchiato while watching passers-by. We would shop the quaint stores filled with handcrafted treasures, particularly pottery. We would simply enjoy each others' company and relish the slowed pace since our three toddlers would be safe at home with their Grammie. We may even hop on the train and head over to Florence for some gelato just for the added adventure. I loved everything about Tuscany, and this whole look book takes me back to the whimsy and caprice of that particular autumn abroad that I've been wanting to share with my husband.

The Tuscon Sun 2 is the perfect nautical look for my dream vacation sailing up the coast to Vancouver with my beau. The long strap on the summer cruise satchel is perfect to hang onto on a rocking boat, and the perfect size for the essentials such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a water bottle and a summer read. The park avenue shorts are loose and comfortable enough to stretch out over the boat and enjoy the sunshine, while the delightful bow tank adds a bright pop of color and whimsy to this neutral palette. I feel relaxed already!

My dream summer vacation would be to Venice with my boyfriend of 6 years. I went once when I was young and ever since have dreamed of going back, this time more sophisticated and able to take it all in better. I just love Tuscan Sun look 6, it's so classy and would be the perfect outfit for touring such a classy and beautiful city. Stepping out of a charming bed & breakfast managed by a friendly and talkative Venetian man in his 60's - at sunrise, when the city hasn't yet started to awaken and the alleyways and canal walkways are breathtakingly empty and silent - and we can have the whole city to ourselves for a couple moments. To walk past the glittering glass shops and stroll through the jewelry and antique shops and buy a darling necklace or two, and get a rich European coffee and of course a gelato (my boyfriend and I met over ice cream, and ever since it's pretty much been our "thing" :) ). To visit the Rialto market and watch the bustle and the gruff vendors shouting about in a language that can make even them seem like romantics, and strolling past scurrying day-tourists knowing that we have all the time in the world to stumble through the side-alleys and accidentally discover things. I love photography and Venice is simply a gold-mine for photos; I can't even begin to imagine what stunning photos I could come home with from there. We'd get a gondola and kiss under every bridge, and at night we would enjoy dinner in a tiny restaurant overlooking the Grand Canal and perhaps get into a leisurely conversation with the waiter or another visiting couple... watching as the summer sun sets over the buildings and the stars begin to blanket the sky... and experience the streets slowly beginning to trickle to empty once again as we walk home to the glow of charming wall-mounted street lamps, falling into bed exhausted and well-rested at the same time. And the next day we'd do it all over again...

My Fiance and I are both prior military, and i miss the sea. I would love to take a boat and sail for the whole summer. Tuscan sun #2 looks the most versatile. When the day is warm, we can layout and soak it up.Or I can throw on a cardigan when it gets chilly.

Give me the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid, Spain. I would wander about the museum absorbing the decadence of art, life, food, and music in Tuscan Sun 11 and I would rock that outfit at a Vetusta Morla concert. While in Spain, put me in Tuscan Sun 3 as I complete El Camino de Santiago-the path to a better/more well dressed version of myself. Then put me along the beaches of Southern France in Tuscan 21 for some much needed R&R after the Camino in Spain. After, drop me in Paris in Tuscan Sun 8 and the rest of the Tuscan collection for sitting in cafe's and writing in journals, staring at old buildings, dancing in rain, wine tasting, people watching, fashion gawking, music hunting, and life rebuilding. :)

I have been dreaming of a staycation that invokes a vacation of the mind body and spirit right in my little backyard designed to perfection by my genius husband. I would lounge about in your ensemble of a “Petunia gardens chiffon blouse” and “European escapade pants” from the Tuscan Sun Collection outfit listed as #19. I adore the idea of wearing this breezy get-up as my friends and I sip champagne cocktails and indulge in local faire from the farmer’s market and cheese store while enjoying the twilight of the setting sun in the place I love best, home.

My dream summer vacation is to go to LA! Outfit 17 would be perfect for a walk on the beach or boardwalk.
Posted on June 26, 2012
My dream vacation would be to go back to Prague again. The Eastern European city has the move luxe museums and underground bars and restaurants. On a hot, sunny day I'd wear the lucille polka dot dress because it blends beautifully with the sights of Prague. It's not too fancy or flashy but it's got enough pizazz to stand out amongst the other tourists.

My husband just joined the military and is at Basic Training. It doesn't really matter where we go but any vacation with him would be wonderful as long as we were together. Wherever we were I'd definitely be rocking Tuscan Sun 6. I love the vintage, pleated look with the current color blocking trend! Plus it reminds me of something my mom would have worn when she was younger. I'm all about history, vintage, and family!

I love Tuscan Sun 8. My dream vacation would be a trip to Europe, I would love to see Ireland, France, and England. I love how colorful and comfortable it looks.

#22 is my fave. My dream vacation would be walking around the streets of Florence with this look and my boyfriend. we'd stop for wine, pizza, and window shopping! The layering of the blouse & dress is perfect!

I've been coveting #11 as a fun summer outfit for work...but FORGET work! Instead, I'll cash in my vacation days and take a trip to New Orleans with my sweet boyfriend. We'll munch on beignets in the French Quarter, swoon over the mansions in the Garden District, chill in the shade at the Oak Alley Plantation, and then boogie down on Bourdon St. all night long. I hope my job doesn't mind!

My favorite look from the lookbook is Tuscan Sun 2 and the outfit fits exactly with my dream summer vacation.
I want to take a cross country road trip making insane amounts of stops and just getting to know the people and culture across our huge (and hugely diverse) country. I want to collect stories and share my findings with the world through my photography and writing. The second outfit fits perfectly with effortless style and being able to just throw on something and go. The bow tank is adorable and the high wasted shorts just make it complete. It's a perfect outfit to be thrown in a suitcase in the back of a vintage camper. It'd be a perfect addition to a creative, vintage, adventure filled summer.
Posted on June 26, 2012
The Tuscan Sun 1 and 18 are my favorite outfits - they both remind me of being whisked away on a carefree, summer vacation full of little adventures and cultural sightseeing - maybe in Florence, Italy or Greece. Adorable!
Posted on June 26, 2012
The first look in the Tucson Sun lookbook is exactly what I'd imagine traipising through central France, picking up fresh produce and haggling over antique furniture in their weekend markets. Love the necklace paired with the collared lovely lucille dress. http://shopruche.com/shop-tuscan-sun/tuscan-sun-1.html

Look number 21 of the Tuscan Sun collection is my favorite. The mint green of the "along the horizon" dress is refreshing after several seasons of bold color combos taking fashion's center stage. The fit of the dress appears to be so comfortable, yet the look is just the right amount of glam. The "merry miranda" hat and comfy, neutral jacket and wedges make this a fantastic vacay outfit! I'd wear it on my dream trip to Paris. Since a very early age, my mother has gotten me into collecting vintage hats, jewelry, and nearly anything else that's aged and has a story...and at this point, even I fit into that category! At any rate, I'd love to go on a vacation with loving husband and ask my parents to join us, since they've never flown. The four of us could have fun and explore Parisian markets in search of Euro-chic vintage and antique treasures, and in the evenings, an exquisite dinner at a French cafe on the street. Family, food, French fleamarkets, fashion...what more could a girl ask for?

I absolutely love Tuscan Sun 6! I'd wear it on my dream vacation of hopping around Greece and its islands. I'd want to tour old ruins and just enjoy the food and drink and beautiful cost! This outfit is bold and stylish, but still breezy and comfortable. The colorful geometric jewelry really perks it up.

My dream summer vacation would be a road trip across the United States, visiting as many national monuments, big cities and small towns as I could! Then I'd finish it off with a road trip from Vancouver back home to Nova Scotia. I'm from Canada, so I've heard of, but never seen, places like Mount Rushmore, Fenway Park and the Golden Gate Bridge. I've also never seen the Canadian Prairies. I think outfit 3 would be perfect for road-tripping, because it's comfy and casual. However, out of all of the Tuscan Sun looks, my two favs are 11 and 6...but they're not as fitting for a road trip as outfit 3. :)

I love look 17 with the beachside embroidered dress! http://shopruche.com/the-tuscan-sun.html?utm_source=homepage&utm_content=lookbook-TheTuscanSun&utm_campaign=mainnav
My dream summer vacation to wear this dress would be on a romantic getaway in Fiji!

My favorite summer vacation would be to visit Paris with my best friend. The outfit I'd wear would be the lovely white lace dress with the flower blouse from Tuscan Sun 22. We would live in a little pretty appartment and every morning when the sunshine wakes us we would dress up quickly and go to the nice coffee bar at the next corner to take breakfast. We would spent the day by shopping, relaxing in parks and eating Macarons at Laduree's. One day I would meet an adorable French and it would be love at first sight ♥ Of course there's also a cute guy for my best friend. Thenceforth I'd spend my days with him: go for lovely walks at the Seine, visting galleries and museums or watching the sunset from the Eiffel tower. In the evening we would meet my best friend and her boyfriend at a great restaurant, drinking wine and eating delicious typically french food and mousse au chocolate. Afterwards I would go home with him and we would make ourselves comfortable in his big inviting bed. The next morning he would wake me up with breakfast in bed. My dream vacation would never end...

I would let me dark curls hang around my shoulders at a cafe in Paris France. La vie en rose would be playing as in the background as I would gaze at the beautiful inner city architecture. Outfit 18 would be ideal because it suits my hour glass shape and compliments my complexion; pale with dark hair. The top wouldn't take away from the contrast between my hair and my skin while the skirt would balance everything nicely thereafter. The shoes and the earrings would be great for this vacation as well. Perfect for a trip around the city on any mode of transportation. Oh lala a girl can dream.

Look 18 i love and now own! My dream vacation would be to bora bora! the clear water and beautiful scenery would just make the perfect summer vacation for a romantic getaway with my honey. It be like being in another world with nothing to worry about but the day ahead full of adventure. And with a suitcase full of ruche and bathing suites it be a dream come true.

The outfit in look 18 is beyond perfect. I want to where it in Florence, Italy while I sit in a quaint cafe as the sun begins to set while drinking a glass of wine and eating a delicious pastry while reading a book filled with adventure and love stories.

My dream vacation would be strolling through vineyards in the French country side. I feel like the PERFECT outfit for this dream is Tuscan Sun number 22. The simple white dress with the pop of colour by the sweater is absolutely gorgeous. The perfect accessory would be my amazing fiance on my arm.

My dream vacation is one that is slightly crazy and odd but it's a dream right? My dream vacation takes place in Sri Lanka a country of the coast of India, the beaches are really pretty and although I don't speak the native language it would be fun to go there and experience new things while fully immersing in the culture.I would wear look number 22 to Sri Lanka because it's simple, cute and if the weather was too hot I could roll up sleeves while maintaining cuteness!

My favorite look is Tuscan Sun 10. The neutral base with the natural pop of color from the flowers is so lovely. It's quite delicate but would be very comfortable. I would where this on my dream vacation to the United Kingdom. It would be perfect for tea time when I go to England and would be quite breathtaking in the countryside, like distant wildflowers among the hills. Very pretty and simple.

I'd wear this this look on my dream vacation to the United Kingdom, most notably England. It's simply perfect for dinner or afternoon tea in a trim garden or somewhere overlooking distant wildflowers and high, green hills. Very pretty and simple.

My dream summer vacation is quite simple. I'd love to travel to America -- as I've heard they have amazing flea markets and farmer's market. In Canada, I haven't exactly been exposed to many flea markets but after reading various blogs, I am quite jealous of those who live in America! So, I'd like to spend my time in America jumping from state to state attacking flea markets!
Knowing that, I would wear Tuscan Sun 2 for my dream summer vacation. This outift has a great satchel to store the lovely goodies I'd pick up here and there at flea markets. When it comes to farmer's market, I would think that wearing too much bold statement pieces is not necessary. This outfit has suttle sweet pieces that would not speak too much.

My dream summer vacation would be Barcelona. After some sightseeing and a little time on the beach I would choose outfit #19 for a casual late dinner out with my man.
Posted on June 26, 2012
I would love a 1-2 weeks vacation in Italy, Spain or Portugal... somewhere warm, in a peaceful town that has a farmer's market and bikes for rent, but also a beach and cute dining places. My bf and I could walk a lot, bike a lot and take hundreds of pictures, like we love to do, discovering the secrets of the place. The perfect outfit for that would be Tuscan Sun 11!

My dream summer is somewhere in the countryside, with a picturesque cottage full with furniture of our grandparent’s time, lined with trees and a wonderful lake. I was delighted with some pictures I saw of Tennessee.
I love the countryside, the smells, flowers, fruits, homemade cakes and also walks, picnics, bathing and fishing days, and all that, of course, in the company of my love.
In this dream the ideal look is number 8, so comfortable, cheerful and unusual. I love all the pieces, the scalloped top (so romantic!), the length and colors of the skirt, crocheted vest, beatiful flower clip and other accessories… A retro look, but youthful and charismatic.I totaly see myself wearing this outfit at a picnic, in a walk at the countryside or enjoying a beautiful sunset by the lake... xoxo

My dream vacation would definitely be to Bora Bora. I just want to look at ocean waters so crystal clear that it makes you want to cry (ahppy tears) and feel the warm breeze on my skin. Ahhhh. :)I would do that while rocking out my fave outfit, Tuscan Sun 15.

My dream vacation would be to revisit my home state of New Jersey wearing Tuscan Sun 2. I lived there for seven years and my entire family still lives in my home town of Burlington, New Jersey. I would love to spend my summer sitting at the waterfront eating a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone from the neighborhood ice cream shop, Ummm's, watching the sun set, after a long day volunteering at the library where I gained my love of reading. Another place I would visit on my dream summer vacation would be Ocean Grove, New Jersey. My childhood memories on the shore are of walking on the boardwalk with my grandmother and cousins, making friends at the beach, and nights at the Chelsea Morning Inn, laughing about the events of the day. I just miss the simplicity of a small town where everyone knows everybody and it's like a huge family. Like many others, I'd love to go to a faraway land in Europe over the summer, but my DREAM summer vacation is just to go back home wearing a fabulous yet practical outfit (like the one in Tuscan Sun 2). Even if it's not permanent.
Posted on June 27, 2012
Tuscan Sun 1 would set the stage for my dream vacation. The dress is good for a hot summer day, with a beautiful cardigan for a cool summer night. Perfect for the climate back home in Southern Ontario, where I'm from.
I haven't been home in over 2 years. This summer I'm driving across country to finally see my family again. Wearing this outfit would be the perfect exclamation point on my dream vacation, which I'm happy to say, is coming true. :)
Posted on June 27, 2012
I love page 18&19 because it's simply and chic. But it also reminds me of my dream vacation which would take place in Europe. Traveling though pretty countrysides, mountains and seas.

Would love to go to Bali with the lovely lucille polka dot dress!!!!
Posted on June 27, 2012
Tuscan Sun 19 would be wonderful for a dream vacation I have in mind for Catalina Island in SoCal. I want to stay in one of the boutique hotels, walk the shops during the day, have dinner with my new interest and then find a hammock or balcony to sit on while sipping a cocktail before crawling into bed, to wake up to him the next morning...

My dream vacation would be going on a yoga retreat to Greece or Italy with my love, Matthew. After morning yoga, I would wear the Tuscan Sun 1 outfit (I dream about it, the dress paired with the necklace, belt, and shrug--perfection!) to browse through local markets and boutiques. Then for dinner and wine, I would wear the Tuscan Sun 3 look--every piece. The Forest Tapestry top with the Venture Forward skinny jeans in purple is brilliant. I love it all.
Posted on June 27, 2012
I love outfit 1 and outfit 11. The pink romper is so cute and I love the polka dot dress. My dapream summer vacation would be a tour of Italy. I would love to walk to streets of Milan and Rome.

Outfit #21 is my number one -
This outfit would be perfect for any vacation anywhere in the world, from stomping around the streets of NY or Paris while exploring a city I've never been to before to laying in a park or on the beach in some exotic land.
I love the versatility of a maxi dress - you can dress this one down for the day with flat sandals and minimal jewelry or dress it up for a casual beach-side dinner with espadrille wedges and an arm party.
The first thing I thought of when I saw outfit #21 in the lookbook was, "I'd love to wear that any day, any time. Vacation or not." But if I had to choose, I picture myself walking hand in hand with my boy down the boardwalk of Long Beach, NY during a weekend getaway.
Posted on June 27, 2012
My instantly favorite outfit is #19! I adore everything about this look...the color palette, breezy fabrics, and the elegant, demure details. This ensemble would be the perfect walk-about look for my dream vacation (and ideally belated honeymoon!) to Venice, Italy. I would feel quite romantic wearing these airy, feminine pieces while strolling the narrow streets and taking in the intoxicating scenery. This look could easily go from day to night - ending my evening with red wine and a cozy gondola ride for two under the Venetian sun.
Coincidentally, #19 is also the day of my anniversary...so perfect!

My favorite outfit is #18. The skirt with all these tiny daisy flowers is so beautiful. My dream vacation is very very simple : go to the carabbean sea with my lover to see the moon in the waves.

I have always been a lover of flowers and beautiful gardens. I view them as magnificent works of art, because like all art, gardens require inspiration, dedication, and passion. My dream vacation is to take a tour of the U.S. and visit its' most beautiful botanical gardens. I think that Tuscan Sun 14 would be perfect for this trip. The rose isle floral cardigan is a lovely piece that would compliment the gardens while being a flowy comfortable fit for myself. The colors of the sunset breeze blouse, and the forever in my heart sequined shorts would match the soft pastels of the flowers I would be admiring.

My favorite outfit would be Tuscan Sun #2, and it would be perfect for my dream vacation to Indonesia!
My dream summer vacation would be to take my boyfriend to Jakarta, Indonesia, where I was born. I love to travel and as lovely as a European or South American trip would be, nothing would be as perfect as coming 'home'. I would love to see my extended family that I haven't seen in years. I'd love to show my boyfriend around the country, and have him see all the places I've described so many times in my stories. He also loves Indonesian food and has been dying to try Jakarta street food! It would be really awesome to see his reaction being immersed in such a different culture.
Tuscan sun #2 would be perfect for this trip. It is not only adorable, but it also looks comfy for navigating my way around the crowded streets of Jakarta, as well as being completely weather appropriate for the HOT indonesian weather.

My dream vacation would entail my fiance and I, traveling to a wooded area we didn't know about. Backpacks full with camping supplies, we explore the wooded area to discover a fair sized cabin next to a large pond. We had full expectations of camping in a tent, but the view of the large pond glistening made us try and see if it was vacant. To our joy, it is! We would unpack our backs and decide to take a dip in the pond. After hours of floating on our backs and reminiscing, my fiance and I would get hungry and decide to make dinner. As my fiance cooked, I would slip into Tuscan Sun 14 and watch the sun begin to set. After dinner, we would take a walk, watching the sun slowly fall behind the trees. With the last shred of light, we would spot a hammock near the cabin. We would climb in the hammock, him first then me, My fiance would hold me as I laid on him.
We would reminisce a little more, this time about the stars, and I would eventually fall asleep.

My dream vacation would be a stay in a little cottage in England where I can cook for my boyfriend and enjoy the beautiful summer evenings together. The perfect look to go with this is Tuscan Sun 7! The little apron and flowy skirt are the perfect combination of romantic and fun.

My favorite vacation would be to go down to Utah to visit my sister and her newly born daughter. I'm finally an aunt and I picture myself in look number 3 for the first time that I hold her and shower the sweet baby girl Carsyn in kisses. I will spend a whole 2 weeks staying up all night and babysitting and cooking dinner for my sister's new family, but at least I would look good on that first day:)
Posted on June 27, 2012
When I first saw the gardenia floral print apron in Tuscan Sun 7 I immediately thought of a backyard cookout. My dream vacation would be to visit my family in North Carolina. I’ve been studying for the New York state bar since May and have not had the time to do any fun summer activities. I keep seeing all these great BBQ recipes on blogs- who knew you could grill watermelon? The top and floral print skirt would be perfect for a trip to the farmer's market. Also, fireworks are legal down there.

My favorite look is page 86 in the lookbook. I would love to wear this on my dream vacation to Cape Town, South Africa. The Along the Horizon dress looks stylish yet comfortable enough to wander street markets, sample the local cuisine, and take in the scenery of the beautiful coast. The Merry Miranda straw hat would protect me from the African sun while still looking cute and when the temps cool in the evening the upper east side jacket will keep me cozy and warm.

In the moment I saw the Tuscan 6 dress I'd imagined myself in that dress - and even if I don't own any dresses yet, it looked like it would already belong to me. With this dress, I would be ready to discover a more feminine, more colourful and more artsy side of myself and of my dream vacation to Sweden. I imagine how nice this dress would look in front of a red swedisch house and how I walk through the city to recognize something new everyday and to look at the art of daily life and the art in the museums. I would watch the city life from any tower I'd discover and I'd experience something special in the swedish nature - therefore, I'd change my clothes ;)

If you have never visited the temperate rainforests of Washington, you simply must because everyone who comes to visit us end up proclaiming that this is the most beautiful place on earth! My boyfriend and I discovered the most adorable Victorian bed and breakfast on a secluded island town in Washington. The only road leading to this town takes you through lush evergreen forests filled with wildlife and bright flowers. This little farm town is filled with charming Victorian homes, which look infinitely delicate against the mountainous landscape and boulders lining the beachfront. Our beachfront inn looks just like a dollhouse on the outside with fresh pink paint, huge bay windows, and gingerbread trim. After bathing in a claw foot bathtub, I start off the morning in my favorite suite by reading in a antique tufted loveseat with lavish golden floral upholstery. My lover sits nearby, playing sonatas on the grand piano. In between sips of tea, we peak out the window at the the ocean and mountains. I pull out the Love Is In The Air dress out of the French Provincial chifferobe. Its full, Victorian inspired sleeves perfectly compliment the generous drapes surrounding our bay window. Just like the drapery, just a little light shine through the cut out back of this dress. There is a gentle knock at the door as the elderly couple who restored and manage the inn bring us a homemade lemon vanilla tart topped with garden grown strawberries and freshly whipped cream. Our breakfast is as sweet and delicious as the Vanilla Sherbert bangle bracelet and Lemon drop charm necklace adorning my neck and wrist. After a leisurely breakfast, I take my lovers arm and stroll through town to look at the antique stores. Several antique store patrons compliment me on my Lovers Lane sandals, whose rich oak color and intricate cutwork rival those of the Queen Anne Victorian hope chest I am admiring. These sturdy wedge heels will also be comfortable enough for me to walk along the evergreen trails by the cove, where I will pick wildflowers to match the brilliant bouquets on my dress. As the sun sets behind the mountains, my lover and I sit on a boulder and eat some of this state's famous Rainier cherries. He kisses the top of my head, crowned with the Cherry Red headband, and tells me that I will always be his sweetheart.

Hello!
I daydream about a nice summer get away to Alaska...I would love to spend time hiking and soaking up the northern wilderness...I think I would like to stay near the City to bask in the experience of both the rugged nature and the local culture.
As I perused through the outfit collections, Tuscan 6 caught my eye and heart...I instantly envisioned a quiet Saturday morning in Anchorage, collecting local foods from a Farmer's market while wearing this adorable and simple dress.

Outfit 14. It would be perfect for the summer dream I have right now of taking my Husband and baby girl back to Poland. We would stroll around the little orchards and lazy, forest paths that I walked as a girl. We would go to the lake where I spent most of my days and play until the sun threatened our delight with it's dwindling in the sky. We would lounge around with family, sitting too long over homemade food while my little girl met her aunts and uncles - all the family I left behind. It would be the perfect series of quite days that would bring a tear to my eyes because I can't freeze it and live there forever.

My dream summer vacation would be a trip to Victoria, B.C. My husband and I spent a wonderful week there for our honeymoon a couple of years ago and I would love to return. I would wear Tuscan Sun #2 as we rode the ferry boat from the Seattle pier, toured the historic castles, bought commemorative Canadian snow globes and held hands under the street lamps as we walked the cobblestone streets back to our room at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.

I adore Tuscan Sun outfit 20. It's so classy and feminine. From the lace top to the open wedges, I love everything about it. My dream vacation that would go perfectly with this outfit would be to Greece. Although I'm not entirely sure where in Greece, I could see myself vacationing with my family, girl friends, or a future spouse. I would love to rent a house for a 2 weeks or so and just allow time to experience Greece. I would love to do all the tourist type things, but I really would want to explore. I want to get to know people, visit boutiques and bakeries, boat on the beautiful water, and experience it all with those I love. And while I explore, this chic and feminine outfit would go perfectly!

1200 miles from my current home lies the family Lake House in northern California. It's a place of sweet memories, multi-generational traditions, and complete relaxation.
The crunch of gravel underneath my mod Swedish Hasbeens clogs is a sound that I've known from my earliest childhood - we're finally here! The house key is soon found in my travel bag - the perfect crocheted straw tote.
The cottage, old, well-loved, is just as I've left it seven years before. Others have come and gone, but the last time I was here, I was just a little girl.
Slanting rays from the late summer sunshine catch the vibrance of the scarf tucked in my bag as I toss both over the back of a dining room chair. It's been a long trip.
He's bringing in the luggage, and soon I'll have some tri-tips ready for his master touch on the grill. For now, we stroll out to the pier and take in the perfect peace of the lake. A sparkling breeze plays with the hem of my colorblocked frock, sending the pleated skirt dancing.
A whole, beautiful week ahead, but for now, I sigh with contentment at finally being here, basking in this perfect moment.
Made brilliant by Tuscan Sun #6.

My dream vacation would be to Tennessee to view all of the mountains and wonderful nature. With the lovely lucille polka dot dress I would be cool enough be outside all day and enjoy! The beach days straw tote riviera and the pathway espadrille wedge would complete the look from the Tuscan sun's first page. I love the outdoors so much an this outfit would complement it with just enough femininity.

Tuscan Sun dress 20 is so beautiful that I could see myself enjoying my dream vacation while wearing it. My dream vacation is a simple one; normally I would list off the different European countries I want see. However I now imagine something different. I see myself spending the next summer with my close friends, traveling up and down the west coast, spending time before our paths part for college and ultimately brighter things. This outfit has a style that combines tones of youth and maturity. Combining the youthful feminine style with a refined vintage quality. To me it's the combination between the beauty of the new and the old.

My dream vacation is a 3 week long Mediterranean cruise. The best way to hit up Greece in its entirety, all that history. The boat itself would probably be pretty fun, but I'd be most excited for Crete & the Minoans. Ideally I'd have my mother, my cousin Kevin (in remission, AWESOME!) and my sister. We all get along so well, and no one can make me laugh like my sister.
Look 1 is definitely my favorite. I love that dress, and everything about it is very "me." The fit, the amount left covered. Everything.

I was looking for something to wear to a special dinner and I could not get over how much the dress reminds me of the pretty flowers and beautiful cypress forests of Monterey. The colors are so natural looking and yet so vibrant: so eye catching! I just couldn't help myself, it was perfect. The entire collection just seems right for any kind of travel or summer vacationing. Simply beautiful.

I'd rock the shit out of the dress on 86-87 on a singles cruise. That dress would be fabulous with a bikini under it, me sitting pool side with that floppy hat, sipping a drink and scooping out single men. As lovely as that dress is... hopefully it would end up on my bedroom floor later that evening. Just sayin.

The second outfit in the lookbook would be perfect for those days when I'm wandering around town scavenging for ingredients for dinner, enjoying the scenery, and just relaxing in the sun. Outfit #2 is just casual enough for the hippie-relaxed attitude of Tofino, but classy enough that I would be more than comfortable wearing it!

Warm sand, cool breeze, green ocean, and slow walk along the shore with my boyfriend are some of the components to my dream vacation. Outfit Tuscan Sun 14 is perfectly what I want to wear with that walk. The shorts are perfect if we want to get our feet wet. The floral cardigan adds that touch of feminine to my curves. The pink/coral blouse is just too perfect to go with that pair of shorts. As the winds blow, a strand of hair gets on the side of my face, and I would hold my hand up to tame it with the sheer cardigan's sleeve! Wouldn't it be the most feminine thing in the world? I see I got carried away a bit here, but hey it's my dream vacation!

I would gladly wear Tuscan Sun 8 on my dream vacation while touring wineries in Washington or some other special wine maker, perhaps Spain. The outfit would look fantastic with a pair of flats during the day or a heel, wedge or a flat with a little flash for dinners out.

I love the outfit in Tuscan Sun #10, although all the outfits are so beautiful. This particular outfit is so feminine and breezy, efortless, and classy. The perfect outfit for walking hand in hand with my husband of 7 years around Florence in Spring.. sitting in cafe's, purusing outside markets, sampling gelato on every corner. :)

I absolutely adore look 14! My dream vacation would be to go to England. My boyfriend and I not only love The Beatles, we are also theatre majors. It is a dream of ours to take a trip around England seeing all of the major Beatles sites, such as Abbey Road, but to also see shows in England. Being able to see The Royal Shakespeare Company would be a life changing experience. Just walking around and getting our fill of the rich history of the country would be fantastic. Outfit 14 has an airy lightness to it that would be perfect for walking around and exploring in, while remaining cute! Plus it could easily be an acceptable outfit to see a show in. The perfect summertime in England outfit.

Tuscan Sun 1 is my favorite. It would go perfectly with my ideal French vacation. Visit France and follow the same route the tour de France takes but taking my time in each city. I'd like to spend a month there soaking in the culture and the beauty. I already know a good amount of French so this would help even more. France has been my dream since I can remember and it will happen soon!

My dream vacation would be to spend a whole summer in Europe, traveling around to each country and really getting to know the culture of each place. I can see myself wearing Tuscan Sun #1 as a breezy, simple yet classy wardrobe option for both urban and rural settings. I wouldn't look back at pictures of my vacations wishing that I didn't look so frumpy and un-put-together.

I love the polka dot dress from look #1. It would be a perfect light summer dress for my dream vacation to New Zealand, enjoying the beautiful scenery with my husband!

My dream vacation is actually happening this year in the Fall. I've been to Europe which is wonderful but I have never been to California (I'm from the East Coast) and have always wanted to go but just never had the chance. So in the Fall we're going to California Wine Country (Napa Valley) so I can see the picturesque rolling hills planted with vineyards first hand. I imagine myself wearing Tuscan Sun 22.. the precious memories lace dress goes beautifully with the enchanted encounter blouse plus a simple blazer over the dress would also be perfect for the weather there.

My dream vacation would be to go wear Tuscan Sun outfit #1 to Provence in France. I would have to bring my favorite person in the world, my husband. We would wander through the vineyards, sit in cafes in Avignon, hike the lower levels of the Pyrenees, and sun on the shores of the Mediterranean. As beautiful as Provence is, the best part would be spending all of that time with my best friend....

My dream vacation would be exploring the beautiful places in BC Canada. Tuscan Sun Outfit #2 would be perfect for that. It's too cute for words but casual and pretty all at the same time! You could walk in the forest wearing that or stroll on the beach!

I would pick outfit #3 and my dream vacation is actually a reality... = )
I'd wear it on my honeymoon in Savannah next month! It would be great for visiting galleries, strolling under the oaks hung with spanish moss or having a picnic in the famously beautiful parks.

I find myself quite partial to Tuscan Sun 19. It is unique and bold and would definitely earn the bearer a few surprised or fascinated looks. It is relaxed and breezy enough to wear in a metropolitan area or a la campagne. The perfect vacation would be a two-three month romp about Europe experiencing each culture and getting to know the people of each country without zipping through each and every tourist hub on a map in a flurried rush. The point of jumping into a lake isn't to simply get back out just after you have jumped in, but to experience what it feels like to immerse yourself in the water. This is just like travelling, to get a real feel for the culture, one needs to immerse oneself in the speech, style, and even politics of the country-- with, of course, the aid of several superb outfits and a couple of Euros to spare.

Summer vacation. The time of year that everyone longs for, a chance to get a little sun, a dash of fresh air, and a whole lot of adventure that our busy lives often are deprived of. Summer has always been my favorite time of year, where we are able to relax and spend time doing the things we love, which is why my dream summer vacation would be a trip to Rome in the fabulously chic outfit “numero undici!” (number eleven). This wonderful combination of colors and pattern would be perfect for spending a summer day exploring the history, fashion, and art of Rome. It has been my dream to visit Italy ever since I was a teenager and began learning about the history of the Italian artists and designers, and has always inspired me as an art student, just as the style of Ruche does.
The bright pink romper will be the perfect companion as one sits outside of a café’ eating gelato and sketching the beautiful architecture while people watching. The “sparkling night sky” necklace pops with its bright yellow gems that remind me of the bright Italian sun. The Katherine Chambray tote looks vintage and feminine, and is the perfect size to throw in a few books, paint sets, and maps as you explore the city. As the sun goes down and nightlife appears, the trusty understudy striped blazer will not only standout but help break the evening chill, as we see what a night in Rome has to offer. This outfit mixes modern and vintage styles together wonderfully just as Rome does, where you go to admire the old masters of art and enjoy the modern high end-fashion. Tuscan Sun 11 fits in perfectly with my personal style and would be my first choice if I were to go explore the history and culture that Italy has to offer.

My dream vacation is to travel to Venice, Italy. I would love to walk along the colorful streets, see the beautiful sights, and ride along on one of Venice's many canals. Oh my, it would be a dream. I picture myself being inspired to write while I am wearing the Tuscan Sun OUTFIT #3! The outfit perfectly suits my taste in clothing, is great for sightseeing and would let me blend in to the brilliant colors of Italy flawlessly.

My dream vacation would be to take my husband to Scotland, I've gone before with my family to visit relatives but would love to take him with me someday. I don't like to sit around on vacation so I need some good pants. Outfit 16 would be perfect for this trip. Even in the summer there's a definite possibility of being rained on in Scotland so I'll like having a beautiful coat like the one in this look with me because I'm going to need it. This look will be appropriate and classy looking in the bustling city of Edinburgh but I won't look out of place when I visit my relatives in smaller towns like Newmachar either. A versatile outfit like this is a must have for a vacation with limited suitcase space.

Gorgeous lookbook! I love Jose Villa's work, his photos make we want to own everything in that lookbook. The dress on page 26 is my favorite (Tuscan Sun 6). My dream would be to visit Barcelona. I could see myself strolling down La Rambla in this dress.

I would love to spend a summer in Somerset (England). The dress from outfit 17 would be perfect for the occasion. It would help me achieve the lovely English rose look, very fitting considering the location. It is perfect for exploring the quintessential countryside, beaches, and villages, as well as for a day trip to the magnificent City of Bath. The light cotton would let the warm summer air caress my skin and the peach accents would match the colors of the season, especially when eating one of my favorite summer fruits while watching a new day unfold.

My dream summer vacation would take place in Tokyo, Japan, where I would take delight in participating in summer festivals, such as Tanabata (Star Festival).
I would sample an assortment of unique tasting Japanese festival food, such as takoyaki (grilled octopus) & yakitori (grilled chicken), from the various stalls lined in a row.
A refreshing drink, Ramune (lemonade), would be the perfect way to help chase away the humidity.
I would write my wish on a strip of paper, as is the tradition of Tanabata, hang it on a piece of bamboo & hope my wish comes true.
Although I wouldn't be wearing a seasonal yukata, I would be overjoyed to wear Outfit #14 because the delicate floral cardigan & the color palette makes me think of it as the western version of a summer kimono.

My dream vacation would be visiting my friends in Aix en Provence, France, wearing the tuscan sun 8 and eating french cheese!!

I’m from Barcelona, so I might come across some of you in the airport, on my way to Maine (The grass is always greener…). There I would rent a cottage by the sea and spend the summer days reading on the porch swing, exploring lighthouses and baking blueberry-based treats. I would need to don the beautiful floral print apron from outfit 7 so as not to stain my lovely Past the Orchard Top and Daisy Bouquet Floral Skirt.

My dream summer vacation would be a tour of the countryside of Wales and England, finished with a lengthy respite in London before going home. I would wear Tuscan Sun 20, whose flowing beauty would keep me comfortable and cool on long walks through the country and catch the eyes of passers-by. Its elegant charm would also be a perfect fit for touring the fashion capital of the U.K., London. I would walk the streets at night, enjoying the way the lights play shadows across the historical stonework and the colorful characters of the city’s nightlife.

I would love to wear Tuscan Sun 14 and travel back to Florence Italy where I married the love of my life! What wonderful memories we made and it would be great to reminisce that chapter in our life.

My dream vacation for this summer would be a spontaneous trip to Prague. I would wear Tuscan Sun Outfit 8 with a large, floppy, wide-brimmed hat while ambling through alleys and cobble-stoned streets, exploring the city's sights and vistas. This bohemian/eclectic outfit would perfectly complement Prague's arts and performance scene. The escapist in me would revel in the culture shock of going from the American South to big-city eastern Europe, like a gypsy on the move. Especially as I've just graduated college and my life and prospects are so up in the air and in flux, a trans-Atlantic adventure. Maybe all I need to reinvigorate my life is a mosaic festival skirt and a change of scenery...

My dream vacation would be traveling to the great green landscape of Ireland. I'd love to wear the outfit in Tuscan Sun 1 as I explore the castles, rolling hills and cliffsides. Gotta look good to match the beautiful scenery!

I’m dying to show my fiancé around Oxford, where I’ve been living for the past academic year. As a poor college student, I won’t be able to go anywhere on holidays, but being near him is reason enough to look forward to August. In other words, my dream summer is also my actual summer. Early this month I’m visiting my family in Spain and then my better half is coming to see me in “the city of dreaming spires,” where he will stay until the beginning of the fall term. It’s hard to choose only one, but outfit 15 is gorgeous and looks very comfy, which would be perfect for long days of sightseeing, punting, picnics, tea drinking, merrymaking and daydreaming.
